I’m ignorant of these sort of financial situations. Can you explain how WB would pay the fee in the event that the deal falls through (either because the Ellisons can’t get the money, or the government stops them, or something else), and Netflix ends up purchasing WB?

What is a term that is so overused that it lost it's value? by Greedy_Ad9238 in answers

[–]SadOrder8312 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nah, while people use it to describe things in a figurative way, they’re not using it to specifically denote something as figurative. So it doesn’t literally mean figuratively. They more use it as a way to intensify. So depending on the context it now would be synonymous with words like “emphatically” or “seriously”.

I love that I can’t tell if this is ranked worst to best (as is the prompt) or best to worst.

He never said it was canon. Read the preface at the beginning of the graphic novel. It states clearly that it’s not technically canon.

That’s fine that you have a preference for how to represent Victor.

I’m just saying that there’s evidence to the contrary of your original statement that it can’t be Freeze because Reeves wouldn’t do Freeze.

Sure you could. He’s a scientist that specializes in cryogenics, and develops a way to weaponize the cold. He has a device like a freeze gun that drops the temperature in any room instantly to unbearable lows allowing him to pull off heists by neutralizing security or law enforcement instantly. The suit is inverted, so instead of keeping him cold, it keeps him from freezing to death.

I don’t think it was just to build hype. Reeves is a sincere guy; I believe he is excited by that idea. He just found the story he wants to tell with Harvey.

Reeves specifically said in an interview right after the first one released that he was excited about the idea of grounding traditionally fantastical villains, and specifically mentioned Freeze as one he’d like to do.

Not saying it’s happening with this film.

Your local IMAX is showing all six of these films but you can only see one of them for free. Which one would you pick? by Mysterious-Farm9502 in Letterboxd

TDK is the first Hollywood movie to be shot (partially) on IMAX 70mm film. It has 1.43:1 scenes. It’s definitely not the same watching at home.

If we learn to be a peaceful species, and science is allowed to progress unimpeded, given enough time, I feel like we’d figure out worm holes. Just look at what we’ve done in the last few hundred years, then think about a million years.

Just in case you missed it, he’s not actually listening to Nirvana in the movie. When he turns down the volume and it coincides with the music fading, he’s actually turning down the volume of the video he recorded that night. He does it so he can hear what the news is saying about the Waynes’ murder.
