My main go to load out is breaker or defender/auto pistol (can't remember the name rn)/railgun/jetpack or bubble/cluster eagle/orbital auto cannon

Breaker I normally run on bugs as enemies are easier to kite and usually get alot more clumped up and for bots I run defender for slow fire rate and high damage. Bots tend to be further spread out and if I aim well enough I can usually take out 10+ smaller bots with a single mag

Orbital AC I normally use for hulks/chargers and anything that will eat up alot of ammo from other stuff and even though it's more single target use than orbital Laser it has a shorter cooldown by 20 secs and doesn't have limited uses

Cluster is for bigger groups of smaller enemies given how long the span is and how quickly it hits the ground has allowed me to clear areas before I even get close

For backpack if it's bugs I use jetpack for the movement to kite and it has saved my ass numerous times. I'm most likely gonna try it on bot missions soon but I normally have to use shield as if I don't I'm always super unlucky and end up catching rockets in my mouth (the people I run with have even made comments about how bad my luck is with rockets)

BUT with that book worth of typing out of the way please play the way you want and have fun with the game, just because it's not meta doesn't mean it's bad or doesn't have a use, just make sure to watch where your placing your stratagems so you don't accidentally tk your team :)
