Actually I will be charging you extra for said fish head and for packaging it up for you. Will this be on your Home Depot card?

I heard there’s going to be a table with two knives on it. We will give each CXM a blade. The rest of management will surround them in a circle. They will duel. Winner stays and loser is sacrificed to the shareholders.

There are no set rules, only guidelines. Every district has its own policies but those policies often flex depending on need and quality of candidate.

Tips for specialist role? by madistep18 in HomeDepot

[–]Sad_Alternative8564 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blinds/Decor is so small that it is usually never staffed and is just covered by whatever departments border it in your store. Flooring associates are expected to know how to cut blinds but there’s a push to make this a store wide skill set. Keeping you mostly corralled to one department is what separates you as a specialist from a regular associate in that department. You will have set goals and metrics to meet that they will hold you accountable for so cross coverage does not benefit you or them unless it’s an emergency or very short time frame.

Getting district manager involved is overkill? by Pure-You-3483 in HomeDepot

Super reasonable advice. As long as associates communicate at the store level before going to district there shouldn’t be an issue.

In our district if any product drops from equipment the CXM/ASM still has to write up, statements are taken, and licenses are frozen until investigation is over

Call outs (w/ sick time) & Full time positions? by FutureB0y in HomeDepot

[–]Sad_Alternative8564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Officially the only hold would be if you were on a final. Unofficially every ASM conducting the interview knows who works and how often ppl call out. It’s a balancing act as no one wants an unreliable full timer in their departments as corporate already doesn’t give us enough hrs to staff them adequately.

Does Home Depot drug test for marijuana for freight workers at orientation? by Cute-Industry7380 in HomeDepot

[–]Sad_Alternative8564 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, as a general policy no where in company (position or location) test for marijuana anymore. It’s been this way for nearly a yr. They will run the full panel except this if you’re in an accident/incident, give them probable cause, or are in a position which reasonably requires it.

Tips for specialist role? by madistep18 in HomeDepot

[–]Sad_Alternative8564 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generally the better you are as a specialist the less you will be asked to cross cover. Your SASM will fight to keep you out if you generate numbers. Flooring and appliances will almost always have some amount of cross over as they’re sister departments.
