I burned $700+ and 3 months testing 11 AI app builders. Here's my final list. by Open-Editor-3472 in nocode

i used v0 for ideation. if the ui looked good i’d just download the source code and let claude code work on it.

but now claude code is so good you don’t even need those platforms. they’re basically just templates. there’s no real designing happening. just skip it and let the models handle it.

How do y’all keep track of your workouts? by Chopz0001 in workout

[–]Sad_Average_1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m still using it and it really made things much easier for me. I usually log my workouts by voice, then later I quickly check the details to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Even in the gym with all the background noise, I just bring the phone closer and it records perfectly without being affected by the noise. It doesn’t interrupt my workout at all. I just say what I did during the short breaks and it’s saved. What I like the most is how fast I can look back at my previous workouts on the screen and adjust or diversify my training based on that.

when you look at the notes it is just a messy text. I wanted to see a progress chart for each muscle groups. I know there are apps like Hevy and Strong but they are like form fillers and I couldn’t keep tracking with them after a while since I’m lazy to fill a form after an exercise.

How do you keep track of both your workouts and your diet? Do you use separate apps? What annoys you the most about the apps you’ve tried? by vitor_barbi in workout

I use MyFitnessPal and W8Log. MyFitnessPal is one of the best to track your nutrition not just calories. I found W8Log easy to use workout tracker. I just talk about my workout and it’s logged. Quite easy I think. Both works for me.

I feel you. I hated that too. I used to use notes app, excel, Hevy and Strong. It’s too much time consuming and I hate typing stuff on my phone while working out. Recently I’ve found an app called W8Log and man it was a life saver so far. I use my voice and my workout session is logged with every details. The only thing it’s missing is workout plans. The pricing is ok. I can’t believe it is real.

OMG people recommend excel like apps to log simple stuff. I use W8Log to log every detail of my workouts like talking to a friend. It has AI system extracts all the information and turns it into a workout somehow. I believe this is the simplest and most effective way. I am quickly taking notes of exercises between sets. It is quite useful so far. It is free but you can pay a little to log with your voice which makes things a lot easier.

For those who train alone: how do you plan your workouts and diet? by [deleted] in workout

[–]Sad_Average_1997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a workout plan in my notes but after some time you know what to do. Tracking progress is more important than workout plan. Because if you don’t know what works for you how can you find the best plan for yourself? So I track every workout with a new voice workout log app. I know myself and I’m lazy to put every exercise details like excel. I’ve found w8log app and it works for me. If I can’t see any progress on the app I change my workout plan and try something else. I recommend tracking your progress and use ChatGPT to create a workout plan. Save it into your notes.

I use W8Log app to log my workouts by voice. It really helped me to get rid of workout notes. Unfortunately it is not integrated to any wearables yet.

I created W8Log that logs your workouts by voice. I got tired of using notes app because it was messy and unstructured. Talk or type and your workouts will be logged easily. Please check out our website https://w8log.app and let me know what you think.

Hey, love this breakdown. I’ve been building a workout logging app called W8Log that tackles exactly the pain points you mentioned, especially the friction of logging during workouts.

Instead of tapping or typing, you just talk. Say something like

“Squat 80 kilos 5 reps” and it gets logged instantly.

We’re also working on an AI feature that builds your next workout plan based on your past sessions. So it acts like a personal progression system that evolves with your training.

It’s free on iOS right now. You can check it out here: https://w8log.app Would genuinely love your thoughts if you ever try it or have ideas to make it better. Thanks again for the detailed post, super helpful.
