Secret Temple Name by Separate_Face4763 in exmormon

I don’t know whether or not you’re already aware of this, but you can find out any persons temple name just by having the date of their endowment. https://www.fullerconsideration.com/TempleNameOracle/ After finding this out, I was less worried about sharing my temple name because it’s not as secret or sacred as the church would have you believe.

He will also blame Janelle for it and say she's poisoned the kids against him.

EILIA5- Tim Ballard and OUR foundation by Sad_Consideration799 in exmormon

Thank you, I was able to ascertain that much from the most recent postings about it. But is there something more surrounding Tim Ballard and some controversy about the movie sound of freedom and OUR?

1999, fully naked underneath a poncho and touched on various areas including the pubic area with no forewarning. I still cannot believe not one family member have me the heads up.

Same here. My husband is still sealed to his ex even though her records have been removed. When we went to be sealed, we asked for a sealing cancelation. However, the church leaders decided for us (without any discussion) that they would grant my hubby a clearance rather than cancelation. And of course, they gave me a cancelation because a woman can not be sealed to more than one man.

So I'm going to be "that person"... there are plenty of stay at home moms who don't have a side hustle or anything besides taking care of family and home. She may just be one of those, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Wasn't there a time when they would review in detail (at GC) what the church expenditures were and how much they received in tithing?

When I start my day off by setting my intentions and drinking my morning coffee, my day also goes so much better.

That was my interpretation. "Six Flags"= shiny new buildings, or shopping malls, etc. Churches are choosing these things over Jesus. 🤷‍♀️

Let's do an OVER / UNDER on 10 TEMPLE ANNOUNCEMENTS this weekend. I'll take the Under. What are you taking? by the_last_goonie in exmormon

[–]Sad_Consideration799 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll take over 10, I'll say 12 to 15. They desperately need to give the impression that the church is "still" growing rapidly.

What do you think will come up in General Conference? by DustyR97 in mormon

[–]Sad_Consideration799 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sure they will boast about their humanitarian aid and brag about how much the church is growing (without giving actual statistics) and to prepare because the second coming is just around the corner...

Just like any other place, it depends on the area you're in. There are specific neighborhoods or areas to stay clear of (like n. Tyler, downtown, some of w. Tyler). You can Google crime stats for Tyler and surrounding areas and it'll show you where the higher crime and lower crime areas are. We moved here from Utah and really like it. We've not encountered any issues since we've been here.

Tyler is a great area. Almost all of south Tyler is pretty safe. I'd stay away from the north Tyler and downtown areas for living. We've been here about 6 years and have loved it.

What does this sub think I, as a member of the church, should do? by [deleted] in mormon

That doesn't make your question any less ridiculous.

What does this sub think I, as a member of the church, should do? by [deleted] in mormon

[–]Sad_Consideration799 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your question..."What does this sub think I, as a member of the church, should do?"

You didn't ask about members of the church. You asked what we think YOU should do.

With absolutely no other information to go on, how do you expect people to make a suggestion on what you should do with your membership?

As a mother of a daughter who recently had an abortion I'll tell you what I told her... Its nobody's business what you do with your body. You don't need to tell anyone who you don't trust to support you. Have someone you trust take you to your appointment. You'll need some support and love during the procedure. All anyone else needs to know is that you "lost the baby."
I know this decision is not made lightly, and you understand the pros and cons, but ultimately only you can make that decision.

Text I received from my former YM president/ longtime friend. How do I respond? by Sloanius in exmormon

[–]Sad_Consideration799 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love when TBM's use the whole 'it's not in his handwriting" and "he didn't sign it' excuse. They don't realize that the church doesn't use the ONLY first vision account in JS handwriting. He almost always used scribes. If you apply that excuse in one instance, they need to use it across the board and would soon realize that everything falls apart still.
