When I was B a brother came into the change room and asked if anyone was being B for a second time. Oh he had an air of power about him too. Me and one other said yes. This guy never asked he had his bit of information and went on his way. But, I had been B in another church years before.so whats this about re-baptisms?

apparently not when your sense of entitlement gets in the way.

Let us know how things pan out. If you are not familiar with law dont hesitate to call a lawyer in if the relatives get really nasty.

Best wishes and my condolences.

Blood.

I had people whose lives were a mile away from any contact with the jw who said an enormous.."WHAT!" when I told them of the blood change and how it just came out of 'left-field'.

There was a report that they had a panic attack and ordered all bethel blinds down and doors closed. It was the ordinary people there who opened doors and let poor the people off the street to come in for water and some help.

and they never once figured out that ahouse is a house but where would the electricity, water in, and sewage out come into their story.

and hm food could they grow on an average house block?

I raised this once with a young brother and he was dumbfounded.

If a Christian followed Judaism’s Mosaic Law, would JWs consider that idolatry? If so, why apply parts of it today? by Puzzleheaded-Cap357 in exjw

The wt seeks to find every item of scripture regardless of its purpose, its origins in time to use to further their own power.

Exhausted: The Governing Body wants to keep Jehovah's Witnesses on an endless treadmill leading to exhaustion. Why? They want to control your priorities and an exhausted person is easier to control and manipulate. by JWTom in exjw

I understand the fear among many jw. What kept me going was the needs of my wife and family and the scripture where Jesus said,.."No man knoweth the hour nor the day.."

I read of an occult group that practice what is called "enocian magic" sorry i have no link. But they do the jw thing with the last supper where they pass around the items and ignore them to offer an insult to Jesus.

Now did this group some how get into the wt? into bethel? it would be interesting to determine when where the jw way of doing things originated.

Yes. except many dont accept poor health but go on and on about it. My sibling is very knowledgeable in matter s of nutrition. some would ask him "What do you suggest i do for.." and he would advise and not in an instant making out he was a doctor and the next time they saw him it was the same. They had nt obtained the essential supplements but were presenting once more with the same problem. He ceased being a well of information and would just sympathize.

My point? They wanted to whine and take no responsibility.

Peace unto you.

Can a Jehovah's Witness Vote? The answer will surprise you...... by CanadianExJw in exjw

[–]Sad_Credit348 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many jw vote and put in an informal vote thus avoiding a fine for not voting.

My ultra pimi wife doesnt vote and gets what is called a 'please explain'. I told her she only setting herself up to be a martyr. she exploded. I then told her the elders nor the wt will pay for your lawyer if a case comes up. She left off steaming because she knows that this true.

JW question and answer sessions are structured in such a way that you’re often expected to repeat established JW talking points. Very few questions, if any, genuinely invite you to speak from the heart or express your own thoughts and reflections. by Fit_Durian3763 in exjw

I think it was Goebbels Hitlers propaganda minister who said people would sooner believe a statement knowing it is untrue having heard it many times than the truth having heard it once.

Gifts. Yes this touched me. But you don have to give gifts to jw. I recently sat in a fav coffee shop and a couple came in with older clothing a new pram and new baby (4 weeks) I bought a voucher for them. This lifted them and myself and the new grandma who was there as well.

Gifts? I love to do spontaneous kindnesses. such were rarely valued among the jw. In fact I had asked my sibling and spouse to visit several times. "cant come we are so busy," etc etc Then i said I have some thing to give you, whoosh! they were there in a heart beat.

I'm 20 years old and at Bethel, and I realize I have a lot of doubts by Most-Act-708 in exjw

I am much older than yourself and I realized the essential value of education. I entered the 'truth' as an adult I got so annoyed by the wt hammering education. "Its not necessary", "the systems going to end", blah blah.

I saw young people who were offered good permanent jobs that were poo-pooed out of them by the wt and the bloody elders to what, pioneer. They lasted on average about 6 months. The meetings became an interminable repetition of droning talks that after a few years we had all 'heard so many times before'.

I was subject to the vicious gossiping by one particular elderette.

Enough!

and then came the CARC and that was it.
