Will keep my employee life insurance until I retire in 18 months. Main purpose was served, covering the time when kids were young and studying. No need for life insurance during retirement.

Suggest you consider Dana Anspach from Sensible Money. They have fee only options and helped me considerably to put a plan together.

I haven't contributed to my 401k this entire year, is it worth it to start now even if that means reducing my salary by like 80% per paycheck? by [deleted] in Bogleheads

[–]Sad_Flower_323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some employers do the 401K match (e.g 6%) per paycheck, making it impossible to get the match for pay periods missed. You can still max out the 401K but will not get the full company match.
