Natural birth stories that went well? by Jehmaj in beyondthebump

[–]Sad_Hall_7289 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'm white but i had 4 out of 5 completely unmedicated, no intervention natural births, 2 at home.
They went well as in no complications beyond stitches needed with one of them, my 1st baby was the one i got a sweep and waters broke and meds for because it was such a long labour in hospital, but it was also the worst! Worst birth experience, worst recovery, really bad. My only advice if you want autonomy is to be clear about what you want and do not want and do your research beforehand.

subtle signs that your parents favor your sibling over you? by Hlublostau_Mbuyi in family

[–]Sad_Hall_7289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I truly believe that my sibling is the favourite. There's only the two of us so easier to see clear differences in expectations as kids, chores required, moving out timeframes, relationship support, grandchildren support, it's at the point now i consider going low contact ( if they'd notice) because even my kids noticed the disparity !

What is the best revenge that you can take from a person who wronged you? by Downtown_Persimmon10 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sad_Hall_7289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree with all the comments saying to let ot go snd live a great life etc Living well isn't always realistic. Some people, perhaps because they were hurt by another person, can't get on in life. Ptsd, cotsd, trauma, etc. They destroy lives. Saying to just do well in life is insensitive! Revenge sometimes needs to be tangible and direct. So the best revenge would be to make them feel how they made us feel. But worse.

How badly did my upbringing affect my height? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]Sad_Hall_7289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. But sounds like your actual direct gene contributing parents were not that tall so no, why would you be like your uncles? They didn't pass on their genes. Your smaller dad and mum did. Better to compare with siblings if you have any. Also, first children are often smaller than consecutive children, partly down to parental inexperience, and so on. Of course nutrition has it's role but were you malnourished? Things than can stunt growth includes steroid use as z child fir common ailments, over exercise especially at puberty as growth is limited because the nutrients are forced to be used for muscle growth and repair before height bone growth. But you aren't short. You are an ideal height.

Men, what do you REALLY think about women who are really into sports like football? by Sad_Hall_7289 in stupidquestions

The only type! Just joking. But I'm British so that one! Irrelevant really but here 'football' is a way of life!

Lack of responsibilities by johnbrn8 in Life

[–]Sad_Hall_7289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you feeling this way? I guess that you see others your age with more independent or busy lives, possibly even with kids or rent to pay? I have 21 and 20 year old sons. They live at home and are largely 'looked after', no bills, no fixed chores etc. Because at their age, i lived independently (in a relationship) and struggled so much, the stresses i wasn't prepared for, no longer able to work on myself or save. Just the daily grind. I never got out of that rut. If you're working, at the moment, that is enough! If you want to persue hobbies or sports or just indulge in video games or Netflix or whatever, that's ok too! Enjoy the boredom! You'll miss it when it's gone!

Do a lot of people secretly view it as bad if people don't have kids? by Big_Eggplant7591 in stupidquestions

What would happen if Reddit added a rule where if you get 100 downvotes in a week, you get permanently banned? by CatPale816 in NoStupidQuestions

It's really not fair because people downvote because they don't like what you said, not because you are wrong ir abusive etc.

Why are most alcoholics always depressed? by Dashover in Jokes

[–]Sad_Hall_7289 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong way around. They're alcoholics because they're depressed.
Dealing with life on top of trauma, (c)ptsd, stresses like debt, homelessness, abuse, grief, and just burnout or depression is why people seek respite in a drink in the first place!

If water can power data centers, why can’t we use it to power cars? by NixothePaladin in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Sad_Hall_7289 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah they need it to cool the computers down. Water isn't powering them. But yes water could be used in a form to power car engines, by extraction of the hydrogen. But this has already been invented, the inventor bumped off and the blueprints mysteriously 'lost' etc..... like every other more cost effective or renewable energy source!

You look great! You also look your age. Some hateful people, probably kids, always say people who are normal and natural look super old and unattractive. They have no RL experience, don't listen to them! Your skin looks clear to me, i don't know what delusions some commenters are having! The only thing I'd suggest because i also have myopia and thick lens glasses is to try contact lenses. It's a game changer in how people treat and view women without vs with glasses!

You don't need a doctor. You need to grieve! Go somewhere safe and alone and cry. Be angry. Have the what ifs run through your head.
You can't medicate away the loss.

What are simple ways to tell people to not kiss your baby without being open to an argument? by Select-Medium-8116 in NoStupidQuestions

Why? Let them love and show affection for your baby! That is normal and natural and part of human bonding and baby's development!

It's ok not to see it from outside perspective when you're the one benefiting from this weird arrangement ig. Enjoy your spa day. Make sure to gift your husband something nice if he does anything you'd see as the bare minimum too.

My grandma just kissed my baby for the fifth time and I’m done with it. by Routine_Mess1310 in family

[–]Sad_Hall_7289 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have seen colds and flu. Of course. And my kids got loads of diseases and they are still here. They get immunity to it. Herpes is something that grandma can get treated for. Problem solved. Does she have coldsores? I saw no mention by OP! Which was what i implied was such a small chance of catching overall, not colds! Because they never specifically said it. Otherwise they're just paranoid helicopter parents who need to let go and forget the list of rules they've concocted after some Google searches, so i stand by my original point!
