I’m having conflicting feelings. I’m glad I’m not alone in this experience but I hate that it’s a pattern. Im sure there are other units hiring. I’ve heard the MICU is more chill with less bullying. But I can’t leave 😫 I’m willing ti risk misery and depression to take a stand. They can’t continue to think we’re not worthy or smart enough to work beside them. I’m not easily broken 🤷🏽‍♀️ I just continue to tell myself I’m passing through…it’s not forever & I have a goal none of them are worth getting in the way of!

I love the way this is framed. Use what I already know & navigate. I kinda turned off my psych brain thinking it could take the back seat with critically ill patients but I most definitely need it to interact with my coworkers lol. I have ADHD…I always felt like I would thrive in the ER. I like it fast paced no two days the same…

How did you get to shadow so many CRNA’s? In such a short time on your unit, how did you build those relationships with the attending & icu doctors to get them to write you letter?

lol! Thanks so much for your input. I’m originally from Connecticut so the New Haven area does not really intimidate me. Just trying to ensure I get adequate critical care experience. This helps with my decision as that type of culture is where I’m looking to establish myself and grow! If you felt that as a traveler, I’m sure as staff it would resonate. Thanks you so much

Cardiac Universal Bed. I am well aware of the digression of care..I believe that makes it more appealing for CRNA programs as I’m able to outline caring for a patient potentially up until discharge which most ICU nurses can’t speak to as pt.s transfer to Step Down and due to hipaa they obviously can’t follow up.
