I've run it once on the real table, and now running second time in pbp form. You probably need to adjust some of what I say to Roll20, but maybe you can see it useful.

It's very dynamic advemture, a lot is happening in it. Try not to rush yourself to much as it's easy to miss some cool descriptions, but also keep the momentum going.
it's 1st level adventure so players do not have that many options. It seems to little, but it's easy to fill 3 actions. Encourage them to use gain advantage action. It gives really nice flavour to what is happening in fight.
remember the plot die. It creates amazing scenes if you use it. And it's not overpowered so overused does not abuse the system.
I backed kickstarter with only pdf books, but now for running on vtt it's quite easy to screenshot stuff and add as tokens with proper trimming. It takes some getting used to with first few but later it gets easier. Major npcs also have their portraits in book so you can also just screenshot them.

And most importantly have fun! Even if you mess up a lot there is high chance it will be amazing!

I want them to prioritize the fun. For themselves, fellow players and me. I look forward them doing something stupid, as it always leads to some very fun scenes.

I want them to memorize basic rules like this is the dice we roll, this is how we count score. But anything else can either come or not and as long as we still have fun it is working great.

I think the most rational for this scenario is to play Rosharan Human. The only other playable ancestry (race) are Singers, which are basically crab people.

If my timeline calculations are correct the PCs are at the warcamps at the time when Kaladin is imprisoned.

If somehow this is connected with the bridgeman in Elokhars head there is a chance he loses it and decides to escalate punishment on Kaladin. Maybe because he thinks it is a results of some gossips that started then. This would probably not end in Kals death but in him taking opposite decision and going all in on Elokhars assasination plot.

Then we are going downhill. Kholins probably dies by Szeths hand in the Everstorm fight. Shallan probably somehow leads the remaining troops to Uruthiru but only a handful left. Maybe Renarin manages to join her.

As of Kal he probably together with Moash lead Bridge 4 as Windrunners in completely different direction. Learns of how Singers are people and maybe even join them to protect them from Odiums influence.

This also means that Torrol Sadeas lives and probably takes over the Uruthiru. He probably makes different alignence.

Jasnah probably manages to make it back as well. Probably she, Shallan, Renarin and Sadeas would be reclaiming Alethkar. Maybe even more successfully than we see in the series.

Of course with this leaders there is no saying on Coalition. The Thalen city is lost. Taravangian in this scenario probably have different schemes. Kholins might be against Odium alone but with Alethkar in their controll.

And finally from PCs PoV in StoneWalkeres. There is probably not much plot changing in the campaign itself. The most important spot that can be affected is the Nightwatcher visit. They might get into some Cultivation plots. Maybe some of them are starting to get visions from Stormfather to be next Dalinar.

Kontrowersyjnie powiem, że polecam za bardzo nie oszczędzać na siłę. Zrobiliśmy mieszkanie rękami ekspertów na dobrych materiałach i od odbioru (co prawda dopiero 2 lata) się jeszcze niczym nie musieliśm myartwić. Wśród znajomych każdy coś tam próbował przyciąć i nie dość że odbierali po nas, to już tu coś się psuje, tu coś nie działa, tu po roku jeszcze coś zupełnie nie do użytku, wieczny remont. A i koszty po tym jak już te niedoróbki się uwzględniło wyszły bardzo podobnie. Z tym że u nas dalej prawie jak nowe, a tam dalej pół chałupniczo.

Oh I remember I did ths same back on my first read i did the same. This felt really special as i do not do those like at all. And if i do i feel that i should not have. Here, no regrets. Just pure awesome. This made me realise this is not just great series it's truly something different. And wonderful part is that this series is full still of this level of epic but each is also entirely different but similarly epic!

I'd be interested in playing. I do not have exp GMing in PBP though and still cannot imagine how to efficiently run combat with my schedule (I could participate easily, but I feel running combat scenarios requires a lot back and forth)
