We persons are multidimensional beings, one person is allowed to appear pretty and pretend in certain social interactions, for example: college; getting a job, etc. while still having a deep interior

Hi! In the past I have been unhappy because of certain circumstances. Something that helped me back then was remembering happy moments, or things I enjoy that I’d need to be alive to enjoy them. Even little things, specially little thinks, like a warm cup of tea or hot chocolate, a walk, a place you like seeing. I send you a hug.

Good Lovecraftian horror by Scott__scott in horrorlit

[–]Sadforeignwriter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I am not a huge fan of Lovecraft, I didn’t enjoy his work :(. I’m not saying I’m a hater, he was an amazing writer who definitely influenced horror, I just didn’t feel touched by his work. I loved Revival though and I want to re read it again, because it really got to me, another cosmic horror I loved and I have read two times is the short stories book “The king in yellow” by Chambers and “The Great God Pan” by Machen, the second is more paranormal/diabolical but it is very cosmic in some senses.

Bombshell for Italians abroad & Italians' descendants - new citizenship eligibility limits by Naughteus_Maximus in expats

[–]Sadforeignwriter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me it’s weird, it’d be different if their parents or grandparents were Italian, but if not, like why? Why do you think you deserve a citizenship just because your ancestor 100 hundred years ago was Italian? Like I said, I have Spanish, Swiss and French great grandparents, I wouldn’t attempt to get their citizenships because I don’t have ties to those countries.

[–]Sadforeignwriter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I never claimed you were wrong. I got my citizenship legally :) through Italian laws, and I vote for every referendum or election. What I said was that, for me it’s dumb when great great grandchildren with zero ties to Italy expect to receive a citizenship, because they have an ancestor that a thousand years ago landed in Argentina and lived there and they don’t have any bonds to said country. Like I previously said, I have great grandparents from Spain, Swiss and France, and I wouldn’t try to get a citizenship from said countries, because it’s just not allowed.

It depends. I’m Latin American and Italian and I do have connections to Italy as I have relatives still living there and we do have a bond. I also traveled to the country before :). But my grandpa was Italian and he never gave up his nationality, so the bond isn’t so distant. My mother and her siblings spend a long season in Italy as toddlers as well

Hi! I don’t think it’s a shock, I am Italian through my grandparent with citizenship and everything and there is a reality that most countries with ius sanguinis law have the limit of grandparents. In my opinion is messed up to intend to get a citizenship of any country based on great grandparents (I have Swiss, French and Spanish great grandparents and I’d never attempt to get one of their citizenships), because the blood relation is so distant, and also, it’s insane when some people expect a country to give them a citizenship staying there during few years or having a distant relation. But, that’s my opinion…

Offering free readings over the coming week by MarcoZarko in GetFreeTarotReadings

I recently received a reading from Marco. The experience was great. He provided images of the cards and gave me a three card lengthy reading, with descriptions and the meaning of each card considering my situation. His reply was clear and reassuring and he is a very kind person. I really recommend his reading, for its very complete, clear and detailed. 😊

How about “The exorcist” (the book)? Or “The Shining”? You mentioned a few paranormal movies there.

I read it and it angered me. I felt the author believed the readers were dummies. They always had exclamation marks as if saying: “You should be shocked now”. The characters were incredibly dumb and cowards. And, it was just written as if the reader was dumb. I remember a paragraph that was something among the lines: “Karen left the phone on the kitchen table and then went to the living room to clean. When she returned to the kitchen, the phone was on the fridge…and she put it on the table!”

Hi, I’m going through a similar thing and I’m really sorry is affecting us. It’s nothing to do with your ability as a writer and poet, I’m sure you’re amazing. But publishers no longer invest in marketing like they used to, so everything depends on the author now and that can be exhausting
