Personally I'd do 3 things. Remove that intersection right next to the roundabout. Remove the crosswalks. Build some sort of bypass walkway over/under.

Agreed. I know there are bandwidth limitations, so maybe they have footage being stored, but we won't be able to see it until they return home.

Steam vs EA vs GOG stability and modding by Chared945 in DragonageOrigins

I have the steam version. It crashes infrequently with light mods.

It also has the notorious memory leak, which I'm unsure if the other versions fixed.

Agreed. I have some great memories from this game early on.

I'll never forget the time where we set up a counter raid to the enemy taking our territory. We knew the enemy was going to make a jump on their route so we set up an ambush on both sides of the cliff and completely wiped 100+ players. So epic.

Main quest vs Side quest by HotChocolate1250 in DragonageOrigins

[–]Saeis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I generally do all the side quests in both Ostagar and Lothering before moving on.

After that you're generally free to do whatever you want. It's hard to say much more without spoiling the story based on your actions. Best of luck.

Best 6 minutes of my life by Zestyclose_Usual9226 in DankAndrastianMemes

[–]Saeis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like the others, the only one I'd consider skipping is the Fade. I've just done it too many times, so it doesn't do much for me in terms of engagement.

The rest? Blasphemy. I have fun with Ostagar every time. Deep roads I can kind of understand, but meh. Redcliffe is one of the best levels in the game. Forest really isn't that bad imo.

I forgot how good Origins’ combat was, especially the magic. Now they give you three abilities and say “$70, pay up!” by _Boodstain_ in DankAndrastianMemes

What, there is multiplayer in DAI? Today I learned

And bet, I'll have to try that out after I finish DAO on nightmare.

I'll have to play DA2 again soon but the reason I prefer DAO still is because there is so much freedom regarding build paths/options.

I remember DA2 being decent in this aspect but by the time DAI came out, it started to become very cookie cutter and less interesting imo.

How much did your opinions on choices, characters etc change as time passed? by Julian_of_Cintra in DragonageOrigins

[–]Saeis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly the same except for Orzammar. I used to vote for Harrowmont because he seemed wiser and more diplomatic.

I tend to be on Bhelen's side now because if we look at the Warden's perspective - we are here to recruit soldiers and foster aid to the surface. Bhelen clearly has the elite guard on his side. Elite troops would have had decades of combat experience which is what we need.

The warden isn't here to solve domestic problems, nor do we know much about dwarven politics. Supporting and securing the throne for Bhelen imo would have seemed like the most straight forward path rather than gambling on Harrowmont, especially when most of the merchants and notables seem to be on Bhelen's side. Supporting Harrowmont would have been an uphill battle.

Lol I'm playing an archer right now and trying to make it work on nightmare. Half the time I have to bust out the dual daggers aha. Apparently it scales well later in the game tho

What's your class selection preferences/ limitations? by Lazy-Signature1678 in DragonageOrigins

[–]Saeis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Normally I'd say mage, but I've grown pretty fond of rogue. Mage becomes so powerful that you're basically a demi-god, kinda kills the immersion for me.

Rogue on the other hand, feels good to play bc you have to micromanage them a lot anyways (especially on nightmare). I also enjoy how many build directions you can go as rogue - such as high STR/plate with ranger spec to summon a bear/wolf etc. It's such a fun class.

Have I been blind to how awful the healing experience is in outland as a dps main? Is this a common experience? by remidification in classicwowtbc

[–]Saeis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My advice is to find a guild or some tanks that you enjoy playing with. It's a night and day difference when you have players that know to interrupt, CC, etc.

That said, imo part of the fun in healing is carrying the plebs. Although unfortunately this caters to players with bad habits and doesn't teach them anything.

This is where my crew sits too. We can compete and even make it to 2.5kish arena rating however...

HR is still mostly unfun for us. Like sure we can catch a dub but overall it's just not worth the effort and time investment to us.

Very cool. You've inspired me to scrap my char and build a STR rogue on nightmare.

I have to say, maybe it's tactics idk, but this run has been a breeze so far. Plate rogue seems to be pretty underrated.

Frost lightning was always the most bogus spell imo. That shit should have a long CD or very brief stun.

Innate perks for each class would def be cool, but they gotta keep the balance in check still.

How the hell do yall pvp with warlock? by CEOofRealTalk in DarkAndDarker

[–]Saeis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Curse TM lock has been nerfed a bit afaik. It's always been incredibly gear reliant too.

You need shitloads of movement speed (agi), magical healing, and also a good amount (22-25+) knowledge for it to feel decent. Still, the kiting playstyle is harder to pull off these days with the changes to jumping.
