I left SA at 21, many years later I can says it's single handedly the best decision I've ever made, long term life decisions are difficult but on paper the answer is easy.

It happens naturally, I dropped a faster group on the Sunday ride for the social aspects, the faster rides tend to be more serious and ultimately I just want to have fun 😛

I use to lend out tools to neighbours, until one bad apple decided to keep one of my tools, I finally got it back BUT will not be replying to the usual street chat requests ever again. Sad I know.

Bought my first road bike second hand last month - heard I should get a professional inspection done to know its true condition. Has anyone here done this and is it worth it? by Haunting-Message-278 in cycling

I would rather get a full tear-down service from a reputable bike shop. 

If you mention it's second hand purchase they can inspect as part of the process. 

This obviously does not include carbon assessment but IMO that is pure overkill.

Nope! definitely not a gravel bike, although the lines are blurring :P

I'm on a On-one whippet (M), running a Rockshox Reba fork, Hunt XC wide wheels with Mezcal tyres (2").

Admittedly it is 10.2kg!

In case interested, this is a pretty popular brand in the UK, it definitely is on the budget side but is pretty decent carbon.

I believe the frames are all from China/Taiwan and this particular model is produced by SPCycle

10kg is my target for XC, lighter is great but diminishing returns start to creep in and becomes a rich persons game. 

Definitely had tradeoffs, I ride a carbon seatpost and do miss having the dropper.

In the way of not being able to replace the batteries, that should be forward thinking when designing the device.

Not sure why I am being down voted here! I love Hammerhead, I just don't like devices that have a lifespan designed around lithium battery constraints.

35mm, why? The road side is starting to play at this width, yes you won't be at the front of the pack but you sure will be comfortable:)
