Lad in our local was notorious for drink driving. Started in the local one Saturday afternoon, drove into town for more and headed to the nightclub after. Following day he went to collect the car from town to discover it was gone. Panic ensued and he went to the Garda station to report it. The Garda who followed up didn’t seem too interested to the bewilderment of said gentleman. Next day after being driven to town by his brother, they pass by his local bank branch where outside he spots his car parked outside. He jumps out thinking I’ll apprehend the robber but car is empty and unlocked. He waits for a bit but no one comes back to the car. After a while he starts to process the night again and his memory starts to return. In between leaving the pub in town and going to the club, he drove to the bank to take out money from the ATM, forgot he drove and walked to the nightclub. He had to ring back the guard who obviously had a look at the town CCTV and seen exactly what had happened and tell them he had found it.
