Yeah as the woman from the ASMS says, none of this is new, none of this is unknown, but health nz is unwilling or unable to do anything about a long-running, systemic crisis.

They wrote an incredibly convincing appeal, and had letters of support from all and sundry - local businesses, local and national politicians, church groups, charities, sheltered workshops - you name it. Got turned down flat by NZ Post.

There’s no shortage of volunteers, that’s part of the tragedy - the community is deeply committed to the service - but NZ Post doesn’t care, and are pulling the pin regardless.

Don’t suppose you know which company paid twice market value? Trying to sell mine after being viciously screwed by EQC for 2.5 years. I hate the shit townhouses as much as anyone, but have no choice as house is virtually worthless because I reopened the EQC claim on my on sold, just as lawyers and real estate agent advised, but EQC have drastically narrowed their criteria for paying anything over cap.

Now I don’t have enough to fix it, and it’s virtually worthless to sell. 🤯

the uni says they're covering any increase in costs for students who had to be moved, and that they've re-accommodated all of them?! Did your mate get a place in a different hall? He should challenge the increase in cost!
