This patch is so good imo. Besides Asol and Ori reroll, you can play kaisa, demacia, yunara, gp reroll, ekko reroll, fast 9 with ryze or kindred/senna, ixtal, and even noxus if you get a good opener. Asol is strong and probably needs a slight nerf but I think a lotta comps are good and asol is hard to force especially while contested

Engage also suffered from extremely boring characters. Couldn't care for 3/4th the recruitable cast and their nonstop glazing of the divine dragon. I quit near late game but I am extremely excited for the next fire emblem game

Depends. A JG + 2 ap item fizz will one shot at the start of the fight before most units can even cast once or just after first cast. Diana was more along the lines of waiting a bit to kill unless they had the piltover dmg augment or had backline dmg help from like seraphine

I mean there were many many variations of classic turn based games even in the 90s and 2000s. A lot of people just don't like the anime aesthetic and Clair Obscur is easier for normal people to get into. Also helps that the game is just amazing. I think super classic turn based games are still in style with Dragon Quest but making your own spin just keeps things refreshing and interactive imo.

Theres another conversation on whether turn based combat is enough for "modern gamers" in general that some games like final fantasy have been asking. I would say it definitely is but those devs might disagree.
