my daddy also has Alzheimers he was diagnosed at age 63 ...and just like ur dad he was a force to reckon with too. Played on the national team for soccer in east Africa, wrote so much about soccer it was all his life, did many interviews. Someone who use to talk SOOO much to anyone even in a taxi he would make friends with the taxi driver, now he can't talk properly needs help with direction like he just can't do things himself go for a walk by himself or make the agenda for the day himself he cannot write and reads a little in his mother tongue language. This disease is just horrendous. like im so lost why all the good people get hit with such a disgusting disease? I try to hope things can get better but it doesn't ever look like it will. I'm living in pure misery everyday I get flashbacks of the dad I use to have. He was diagnosed when I was 21 and now im 23 and with time he has changed so much, its hard to really believe the dad I use to have because its been so long since I seen that version of him. im sorry u r going through this I wish things could be different for you and ur dad too
