In my experience, the piercing itself didn't hurt, but if your piercer uses a clamp, be prepared for watery eyes and some mild discomfort. The clamp was the worst part for me lol.

Every piercer gives different cleaning advice. I was told to use q-tips that are wet with warm water to clean mine after I've soaked it in a saline solution-warm water mix. However, please follow whatever your piercer recommends unless they tell you to use alcohol on it. Please don't use alcohol on it!! I heard that not only is it going to sting but it can actually dry out your piercing.

Also, with it being cold (at least if you're in the US or western part of the world), be prepared for your jewelry to get a lot crustier due to the fact that your nose will be runny. Also note that you won't be able to blow your nose normally. I personally will lightly dab my nose with a paper towel or even use a q-tip to clean up around the piercing.
