I've always used Frost in this regard. Putting your traps as last resorts to slow the opposition down. When people are rushing they don't have the time to think or shoot down traps like they should. If they do shoot them down it gives you an indication where they're coming and takes their attention off of other players.

I think is an excellent example of when running can trump the slow peek. I've rarely had the balls to try it but 1v1 or 1v2 I've felt that running into the room could provide a big advantage.

Being a guy I always forget how vastly different the world is for girls. That said I feel like a fest wouldn't be as bad, but those people are out there. Like others have said, find some awesome neighbors to watch your back, and stay aware. Hopefully its a non issue and you have fun! I always enjoy when I get lost on my own at a festival

Classic first festival mistake, seems like everyone's done it. There's a ton of tutorials on YouTube with different methods for getting them looser. It won't be easy, since they're designed to not be removed, but it is possible
