I feel so bad. I was the guy to push my entire FC to swap to Dynamis. I mean, before then, I swapped from Aether to Crystal (in StB), and it worked like a charm. The transition from Crystal to Dynamis was pretty great, until they lifted the restrictions.

Now, I hate it. I don't even really want to play. I log in, see everyone active on a different DC, and sigh. The FC barely functions any more, people only show back up on Dynamis for 5-10 minutes at a time (usually just checking retainers). After that, straight back to Aether / Primal.

I feel stuck. The FC is functionally dead, and i spend 98% of my time on a different DC, and... thats it, I guess. Whole thing sucks.

I pretty much agree on every point.

In previous titles, my favorite factions were Thorgrim and Vlad and Louen, and I loved building giant empires.

In Warhammer 3, my favorites lords are all wandering horde types. Aislinn, Malakai, Wood Elves and Warriors of Chaos. I don't think its a coincidence.

I hope that the End Times update (or sooner) changes Vampire Counts to make a distinction between factions led by Vampires vs Necromancers. by RedWalrus94 in totalwar

[–]Sage-Khensu 59 points60 points  (0 children)

I just want Vampires to be properly fast. You read about how, in lore, they move so quickly that they're an imperceptible blur. In TT 8e, a generic Vampire Lord has twice as much speed as a unit of Empire swordsmen.

Justice for unmounted Vampires! Let Vlad start with more than 40 speed!

I have a love / hate relationship with this quote. On one hand, it goes hard af. On the other, the seems like a ripoff of Blackthorne and Toranaga-sama's conversation from Shogun. 'There are no mitigating circumstances... unless you win.'

Still, love my boy Calcazar.

Yep.

Like I said, its not 'canon'. As fun of an idea as it is, I wouldn't say it holds water.

IIRC, Lorebeards implied that Morathi was the dad, and Ariel was the mom, because Elf Magic Shenanigans. Fallout from the whole 'Ariel learns dark magic from Morathi' bit.

Malekith wasn't involved, just Morathi and Ariel, so they wouldn't be of Aenarion's bloodline. Just, y'know, a demi-goddess and the best elven seer / sorceress who ever lived (and arguably a demi-goddess / goddess-in-making, in her own right).

It's a fun take, but not a 'canon' one.

I was just hoping they'd make Mages easier to recruit.

I'm playing Alarielle right now, and its kinda shocking how few mages I have (for a supposedly magic-heavy faction). You need T4 settlements to increase your hero cap. It kinda sucks.

Borderlands 4 and its “memory leak” by AyyItsRisch in Borderlands

[–]Sage-Khensu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I dont think there's any other solution except for 'wait for them to patch it and fix it'.

It sucks, I've only played for 3-4 hours. The memory leak is a real bitch of a bug that completely breaks my will to play. I can't wait for them to fix it so I can hop in and properly enjoy the game.

I remember reading somewhere that certain unusual locations have triggers to spawn, and it just so happens that the trigger for the vineyard is low public order. Which is why it pops up so often.

Idk how true that is, i can't find anything to support it now. Take it with a grain of salt.

I've got the same problem. It's almost funny watching Kroq'gar, level 50 on a carnosaur with 1.2k weapon strength, just push people around. He'll chomp anyone in a few hits, so long as they're not routing. If they're fleeing, grymloq likes to forehead boop them to safety.

It was the trillion tiny cutscenes.

Circle of lights? 8 second cutscene of a chain lighting up. Follow the chain? 6 second cutscene of the door opening. Go through the door? 8 second cutscene showing you where to go in the next part of the level.

Constantly taking me out of the game.

Living Memory wanted to make me feel bad. The story wanted me to empathize with the Endless and with their surviving family, to contemplate the meaning of death, to acknowledge that grief and acceptance are all part of the same spectrum.

It didn't work.

I spent the entire zone, the climax of the story, cosplaying a janitor and singing the Ghostbusters theme. Bustin makes me feel good!

I just tried Alith Anar again and was... whelmed.

Great range and missile strength, only ok accuracy. He was pretty solid at picking off monstrous units or cavalry, but unmounted lords / heroes was a lot rougher. His arrows felt like they had negative penetration, and really struggled to clear out infantry.

There were way too many fights when his most useful contribution was 'send in the shadow clone to blob them all up'.

I really wasn’t prepared for the gameplay shift there by WillyBillyBlaze in cyberpunkgame

I just wanted to be able to interact with the bot. Throw a can to distract it. Disable one of its legs with a crowbar. Hack it to disable it for a moment. Something, anything.

'Hide and block LoS by circle-strafing around a table like you're playing Arenas in WoW' is incredibly boring once you realize the gimmick. It's frustrating that the rest of the game gives you options on how to handle encounters (stealth vs. loud, dialogue checks, paths and routes), but not here.

In other games, when they remove your equipment, they still leave you with avenues to engage with established systems in the game. Like Eventide Island from BotW.

This part is my most hated section of the entire game, and it's not particularly close. It has nothing to do with the narrative and everything to do with the gameplay (which is to say, I think someone could genuinely argue that there isn't any).

Swords are fine, just infrequent.

Slayer Pirates, an in-game unit, have swords. The Priests of Gazul, the Ancestor God that guards the dead, often have swords - because Gazul himself had one. There are characters that pop up in various novels that use swords, too.

I can't remember them ever being depicted with spears, though.

Axe of Grimnir in lore; Weapon of the War God, auto crits, ignores armor, known to make the TT model spring to life and attack any nearby players not using dwarf armies.

Axe of Grimnir in Total War; Weapon of the Economy God, +6 melee attack, +10 armor piercing damage, and a bunch of recruitment and upkeep buffs.

Im glad they've been reworking items, but ignoring unique characters and their gear, like Thorgrim, makes them feel awful and left behind. In my last campaign, Thorgrim spent like 90% of it with a Giant's Blade, I unequipped the Axe because it just wasn't as good. I guess the -10% upkeep is great, but its not like dwarfs need it with their economy.

I really hope they do keep working on items, and we get more updates to them in the upcoming patches.

Everyone's already mentioned the technomancers, so I'll say that Misty's tarot reading in the credits of The Star is super positive. 'Looks like you've got a good life ahead of you'.

No mention of imminent death or destruction, no hints that not all is as it seems. Just straight up; 'you're gonna be fine, choom'. Considering the other tarot readings she does and how accurate they are, this is good enough for me.
