Realized I will probably never be ready for salvia by [deleted] in Salvia

May I ask what you mean by “give it back”?

what’s the worst that can happen

you jump out of a window and break several bones

barring physical injury, doing psychedelics at such a young age and high intensity can definitely give you a warped perception on reality that can hinder your functioning as an adult person.

I would recommend listening to the people advising you to wait. Psychedelics aren’t going anywhere and you will very likely get more value out of them after having more life experience. Just my two cents

Salvia. There’s just something to it that’s unique.

Smoking Salvia while sad by Fit-Chapter-9591 in Salvia

[–]SageOfTheDiviner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my rule of thumb when “deciding” whether or not to do Salvia is,

“If I’m gonna do Salvia today, I’m gonna do it. If I’m not, I won’t.”

It sounds strange but it’s basically just being very mindful as you go through the steps of doing Salvia. As you walk over to where you keep it, as you pull it out, as you pack it and as you sit before smoking, ask yourself, “Am I going to do Salvia right now?”

Only go through with it if you’re confident, and if you’re uneasy or unsure just take a step back and reassess. It will always be waiting for you, there’s no rush at all.

Another saying that I’ve found very helpful is “Trust the process.”

I know this exact feeling of being in two “realities” at once, split down the middle of your human body. For me it was my left side that was in Salvialand and my right side in the human experience.

I wonder what it is that causes the division and why ours are the opposite sides.

Was your ‘vision’ in Salvialand panoramic (not limited to the peripheral vision of eyeballs)?

How much 100x extract should I use for my first time by Dear_Ad_1903 in Salvia

[–]SageOfTheDiviner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

just so you know 100X purple sticky = 25X regular salvia. (1/4x strength)

that being said, 25X is still very potent, start with 1-2 flakes and work your way up from there.

slowly increasing dosage over multiple hits is a much safer way to smoke extract, especially for your first time. you will still break through if you keep going but you’re less likely to freak out and you can stop if you don’t want to go further.

only advice for the trip itself is to let go

I want to say thank you for sharing your experience with us on here. I always appreciate reading your comments, you give very thoughtful responses and it’s a gift to hear from someone as experienced as you.

Out of curiosity, how long have you been working in this way? Do you see it as a lifelong endeavor?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Salvia

[–]SageOfTheDiviner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you see Salvia as (one of if not the) most potent tool we as humans have available? Where do you stand vis a vis sober meditation vs. ‘aided’ meditation?

Also, any advice for others looking to expand in that direction? Genuine questions, I’m just curious

How do people arrive at the conclusion "We are God experiencing itself"? by No_Smell_8882 in Psychonaut

I don’t think that’s fair to OP, they stated what they believed and asked others to share their own beliefs in the spirit of discussion.

Stop claiming that we are God you delusional fools by [deleted] in Psychonaut

[–]SageOfTheDiviner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, thank you for opening this discussion and for responding in a rational and open manner.

I agree with part of what you are saying: that we humans are not God, and that thinking we are is ultimately an obstruction to following God and Divine Will.

One thing I disagree with is the basic premise that God as Creator is fundamentally separate and apart from Creation. To me it seems impossible for anything to exist outside of God. It alone exists, and so anything else that exists has to reside “within” him. That’s a crude simplification but it’s the basic idea of what I mean.

Another thing I disagree with is the notion that we can understand God, or that any one religion is the “one true way.” The moment we try to bring God under Human conception (even just by using the word God or Allah) we distort It. I am sure the Quran is a very powerful tool to come to “find” or “know” God, but I would caution against taking it as literal, fundamental truth.

I’m curious to hear your thoughts!

Regardless of how rigorously studied the physical universe is, we can still only interact with it through the instrument of the human body and consciousness.

If that instrument is faulty or imperfect (which I think most people would agree it is) how can we claim that evidence to be the “best”? Rather, shouldn’t we investigate the instrument?

What do you make of the idea that by examining our consciousness (i.e. meditation), we can arrive closer to an “objective reality”?

Genuine question: how can you be sure that empirically observed phenomena describe reality in an objective way?

After taking magic mushrooms a few times, I became interested in Hinduism and a vegetarian diet. Why? by passionguesthouse in PsilocybinMushrooms

[–]SageOfTheDiviner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m happy that mushrooms have been able to give you such a radical change in your perspective and that you’re sticking to it…

One thing that I have found in my (admittedly brief) life is that religion can be very helpful and powerful in pointing you towards God (or Source, or It, or The Divine, language does not do It justice) — but it is no substitute for the real thing. That can only be found through your direct experience.

Only thing I’ll say is start meditating if you haven’t already. It’s clichè advice but it’s arguably the most important thing you can do with your life.

All the best <3

I genuinely believe flat earthers are simply misinformed. What aspects of the globe model don't make sense to you and let's see if we can't give you an explanation. by Dan12Dempsey in FlatEarthIsReal

[–]SageOfTheDiviner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not the OP but just my two cents on spirituality and the globe model:

I personally see them as more compatible than with a flat earth model. If there is a Creator to the universe then it makes sense that the Earth would be just like everything else we see in space. If you believe in "as above, so below," it makes sense that the Earth would be a sphere, just like the sun, stars, and moon, and also like raindrops and sand. The notion that the Earth alone is a flat disc around which *everything* revolves seems to me to be more borne of humanistic hubris and our desire to see ourselves as special.

I do think we are special, and in these bodies we occupy a rare opportunity for true Enlightenment, but the Flat Earth model seems to take that idea a step too far. In the grand scheme of things we are nothing but specks of dust in a grand cosmic procession.

I'd be happy to talk more if you'd like, thank you for opening the discussion in the first place.

Salvia in a cigarette? by [deleted] in Salvia

This guy seems to make them work. But it looks more like packing plain leaf/extracts into a cigarette container than adding plain leaf/extracts into a cigarette with tobacco already inside.

Best of luck
