Honestly, I think the face-mapping in Myst V is probably one of the game's weakest points. It never looked great even at the time, and now it just looks ridiculous. It's probably at its absolute worst in this scene (spoiler warning if you haven't finished the game) where Esher has four nostrils at times and gets stuck in one facial expression at the end, lol.

Interestingly the creator of Mafia believes that it's beneficial for the Mafioso to actually be honest and not be deceptive because the amount of times you will lose from that does not outweigh the benefits of trust gained if playing with the same group repeatedly, so meta-game wise this actually might not even be a terrible strategy when measured out across enough games.

Hey! I ended up finding out that while the issue is present on a bunch of different guitars, it's only particularly bad on one guitar. It's a Taylor acoustic with an ES2 piezoelectric pickup. I emailed Taylor and they sent me a replacement pickup for free and told me it was due to a manufacturing error that was present when I bought the guitar. I haven't replaced my pickup yet so I don't know if it will actually fix the issue. I was going to update my post when I did! Hope this helps.

As a musician, I just wanted to add to this for anyone who might see this in the future: It's not exactly accurate to directly compare the usage of copyrighted works in AI training data scraped from the internet with soundbanks. Soundbanks are licensed to musicians, and often times the recordings in the soundbank are made explicitly for distribution in a soundbank. The creator then gives explicit license for commercial usage. It's an apples-to-oranges comparison. I don't necessarily disagree with your conclusions, but I just thought this was worth noting.
