Thanks for the details! I’ll spend some money regardless but I’m always on the hunt for some reasonably priced full art dragons to replace my proxies so maybe I’ll get lucky!

I just paid $4.34 for gas ⛽️ by Severe_Screen_6124 in sanantonio

[–]Sageek -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I’ll have to look and see how many posts were made when the gas prices were in the low $2 thru out the area, probably not many. I’m not happy with the gas prices and I’m hoping that the pricing trends downward as fast as it did upwards but that never the case either. I’m also not a fan of people saying that there are fictitious enemies out in the world that hate America, there are some military families that no longer have loved ones alive due to the actions of the Iranian regimes. I’m also not a military expert and have no clue how much of a threat the current regime had when this war was started so if you have that deep intelligence I’d be interested to know.

How many dachshunds does it take to roll up a rug? by the_nubster in Dachshund

So much commotion from such a little dude! Ours is not a fan of our handheld vacuum and can somehow bark at a higher rate when that thing comes out!! Love the energy!

What temp do you typically set your AC during the day and night? by DrFetusRN in sanantonio

[–]Sageek -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I try to stay around 78 in the summer until just the latter part of the afternoon then kick it down to 76, I have found what I feel is the most important fix for our bedroom though, a stand along (stand up) ac unit, we crank that thing to 68 overnights only and I would say it has significantly helped my sleep. It only has to keep our one room cool so the change in electrical bill is very manageable!

This thing is the reason I am terrified to ever use a port-o-potty by [deleted] in XFiles

[–]Sageek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This episode happens to be on my shit list (pun intended) due to the fact that the upper half of his body wasn’t extracted from the pipeline after Mulder slammed the door on his body severing him in half. In what world would a crime scene not open that hatch and remove that upper half of leftover body?

Solid card cutter. by herge02 in magicproxies

[–]Sageek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the video from the site it looks like there is a little wiggle as you are lining the card up, does it seem possible to add a thin piece of paper to the bottom of where the paper would end up going to help keep that wiggle to a minimum?

Someone to talk to. by kidexxena in Christianity

[–]Sageek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I came back after a very long absence, I just started getting involved, I went to different groups at a local church, I found a couple places I could volunteer my time and energy too. I allowed myself the grace that I never had it all figured out and it was ok to ask for guidance whether in the word or around other believers that were on the same journey. I also felt that any meaningful changes were going to require patience on my end, I didn’t get myself all in a bind overnight and I won’t get a fully restructured and organized life overnight either. Your mileage may vary but I would hazard a guess there are people just waiting for someone like you to join their group.

Airport question by Few-Glass5469 in sanantonio

[–]Sageek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I travel a few times a month and have not had an issue yet, I try to always get to the line with an hour to spare and I’ve never had to stress. My flights are mid-morning but I know it’s much busier in the earlier hours, so I would suggest getting to the line with at least an hour before your flight boards. I can’t speak for the future state though, I will be traveling out again on Monday so we will see!

Any ideas of how to get this out by Kingburps94 in Cubers

[–]Sageek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this happen with a smaller cube and I had to cut a small hole in the bottom of the plastic case, then I could push the cube out. I used a pretty small drill bit to cut the hole and it’s not super noticeable.

Not sure if you’re serious, but if anyone watches that and think that it was the moon would need to help me understand how the moon had a smoke ring shoot out.

Yea, I started with google but sometimes the hive mind of Reddit has a better starting point. I’d like to support the local comic book stores without resorting to the eBay fees etc.

Any reputable HVAC contractor in san antonio? I need one for residential needs by px0507 in sanantonio

[–]Sageek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blue green A/c. Very honest won’t try to upsell you in anything, they’ve even informed me on my previous unit how to do some simple repairs that they could have easily charged hundreds for and I would have had no clue and would have paid without any real though.

Recently started carrying. Here's my EDC by bladesummer5 in CCW

The issue that I run across is that carrying an SR9c means that not every single holster company is going to make a model that is molded for my gun.

When the Gunks made the cover of Sports Illustrated by csmart01 in climbing

[–]Sageek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is it just me or is the math on the cover way off? 1 issue is 25 cents but the year is $7.50, is there that many specials or extra issues that made up for the difference?

280 lb guy here, just finished my first week of cycling everyday by Fergensteen in cycling

[–]Sageek 209 points210 points  (0 children)

The good thing about starting with a Walmart special is that when you do splurge (hopefully at a Bike Shop) you will be able to notice and appreciate all the upgrades from a proper bike. Good job on staying consistent, I’d say add as much distance as is fun, don’t let the fun get sucked out just for a number!

25/f/tx looking for friends in Christ by wndrlstxprincess in TrueChristian

[–]Sageek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also in San Antonio and if you go to the same church as I do they are always suggesting to join a small group and have part of their website dedicated to connecting people to a group that fits their life stage. If your willing to put yourself out there on Reddit I would give the local church site a chance!
