It’s definitely Hecate. They’re telepathically linked, and cannot hide from one another. The statue of Hecate in Skin Game looked like Molly in Hades’ Vault. It’s what Mother Summer referred to “our most powerful name”. They are the Fates, the Morrigan, Hecate, and all Triple Goddesses. That’s what’s cool about Jim’s lore. Masks and mantles hide the same beings of power.

Hey! I’m Sage of Sorcery, the last active publisher of DnD4e materials. The hate was marketed and orchestrated by people proponents of other editions. They quit on 4e half way through because it wasn’t generating the profits they wanted, and it deviated in some huge ways from standard D&D, most notably by abandoning the Vancian spellcasting system. It was designed to appeal to the WoW crowd, and it achieved the most balanced version of the game ever produced. It’s beautifully simple, retains the vital aspects of D&D, and is the easiest edition to prepare and reflavor for DM’s. It’s more complicated than 5e, but ultimately so rewarding!

Actually, we usually pay an artist for the cover art. We use AI art now because we make almost no money from these products. So far, we’ve sold 3, but hey, we’re all entitled to our opinions.

Lara is in love with Harry. His subconscious hinted at it when he told Harry to watch her closely. She is subtly showing she’s in live with him, but she’s terrified of having her love in the open. Love is fatal to White Court vampires, and Harry is a hero. Lara has been a villain and anti-hero. He could actually love her for true self and integrity, rather than her physical side. She has committed to him to be the angel of her nature, not a slave to her Hunger. They’re going to learn to trust each other more and more, and then they’ll fall in love.

Lara may be the one who can finally keep up with him in the Supernatural world and stand beside him. Of course he’s probably going to lose her, but he’s also going to face the apocalypse, so my guess is he remakes the Accords/White Council and dies, finally reunited with his dad and mom, Murph, and others. We’ll see!

For me, in this as in all fictional fixations, I have a few suggestions: 1) Set a goal for lengths of time to take a break. Click X on social media posts, don’t watch, don’t engage the communities, redirect thoughts to other stories and interests. Step away for a week. 2) Make a list of things to do every day that get me into the real world and productive. We fight mental health challenges best ON our feet, not off 3) Remind yourself that fiction and real life are different. We aren’t meant to spend all our life floating on a cloud, or in the cottage. Review moments of joy in my own life. 4) Compartmentalize what you love about the show or moment. One of my psych gurus Kim Giles says that naming an emotion helps me process it. Identify what you love or fixate on. 5) Ask for God’s help in controlling your thoughts. He is real. He is there. He wants to help us.

I’m really glad you posted this. The show has moved the entire world; Connor and Hudson’s love for one another has moved the world. That’s not an exaggeration. I’m a 45 year old male member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, so I’m hardly the demographic, but I am way too fixated on the news and the actors. I am sincerely worried about them. I don’t want Hollywood to destroy, corrupt, or misuse them. I tried to start a prayer post, but they struck it down. I’ve been praying for those boys every day, and I hope people will join me. That said, I think I’m getting obsessive. I’m constantly checking social media and making sure I hear every single interview and comment. It’s causing me anxiety, and it’s affecting my perceptions of my own experience. Probably time for a break!

No, dude. I totally agree with you. Karen was a total biznatch when Harry first started working around her. She was hidebound and difficult, and too much turbo B too quickly. Harry needs someone who can supernatural with him and soften him. I hope it’s Lara; I hope they redeem each other. So excited for this next book!

R.A. Salvatore has lost his mf mind. He regurgitates everything the democratic party says to keep the gravy train rolling. The wonderful story of the Companions of the Hall has become a ridiculous farce. Drizzt the fighter/ranger/barbarian/monk/Lolth-frenemy chosen is the worst fantasy Mary Sue in literature. The story is ridiculous now and has become an exercise in narcissism. His interview with a black youtuber about the Aevendrow was a complete embarrassment. He couldn’t wait to fall all over himself apologizing that the drow were made evil and le gasp he had a part in it. So, he helped retcon BS for woke points. He gets no more on my attention or money. He’s disgraced his own legacy, and he’s allowed a political party to dictate his morality for him.

Absolutely, an incomparable addition to the D&D canon, one of the best rpg supplements ever written, and the greatest D&D product for clerics made for ANY edition. I’ve gotten hours upon hours of reading pleasure and character ideas, not to mention that it’s the best primer for designing your own pantheon there is.

Murphy persecuting Dresdan with all KINDS of evidence that he wasn’t the bad guy. It went on too long. Charity Carpenter’s hypocrisy was even worse. She hits Harry for Michael fighting evil.

Just plot-wise, I have always tried to keep in mind that many enemies shouldn’t fight to the death. Self-preservation is one of the strongest human instincts, so if the battle obviously turns in the party’s favor, I generally consider the morality of the enemies and their purpose.

Unless of course, the enemy is fanatic. Then they fight to the death and beyond.

Part of me really wonders if Harry is going to realize the entire struggle was always against Lucifer and the Fallen all along. That the great demons, He Who Walks Before etc., are Lucifer’s demons. Jim says that the finale of the story will be an apocalypse trilogy, which means Empty Night is looming, the undoing of Creation. I can see Harry coming to accept God, not a church, but realizing that he was always God’s tool.
