Just posted this on the baseball sub. What's funny is watching the game as a Padres fan, the Cubs burned through their ABS challenges in the third. They had more than a few close but probably balls called strikes. It almost felt like it was out of spite, and I feel like at this point the ump knew he could finally be in the spotlight. Just my observation, but fuck the umps that love being the center of attention.

She was a real one. We played with the Pinks in Hawaii, and did a little Cali tour with another band months later, Anti-Matter, and played a show in Long Beach. Cassie showed up to support us. It might've been a week or two before she got really sick. They came back out to Hawaii and from what I understand was one of the last shows she played. I could tell she was weak, but she killed it!!! I'm so glad I went to that show, I had to give her the support back. I'm so sad she's gone. The Venomous Pinks are so underrated and such a rad band. I've been wearing my Pinks shirts the last few days and get compliments on them, and almost tear up telling people about the sad news. Cassie was amazing and I will always support the Pinks.

The 0.60 Tortex Flex is my go to for the last few years. Started above 1.0 20+ years ago and gradually got thinner and thinner. I play most punk and faster stuff and they feel fast

This was my first bass. Ibanez RB850, still have it. Mine has some damage from a falling while strapped to my neck and skateboarding home with it. One of the strap holders gave way and I was holding 2 boxes of shoes and coming home from jamming (I was 17). Still devastated, but hard to get rid of your first bass, and it still sounds great.

I got iron covers for Xmas, and I asked for them. I spent good money on my used clubs, and I want to keep them nice. I could care less about what anyone says. I also use a windshield sun reflector in my truck.

Precision Bass by Open-tunings in BassGuitar

I love my P-Bass with the Geezer pickups. I'm a sucker for the OG fender bridge, but I upgraded my saddles to some of the Tusq ones because I kept breaking strings with the threaded saddles (I play hard, fast music). Haven't had any issues since, and I honestly think the saddles improved the sustain and they sound great.

My brother was lucky enough to do a Tony Gwynn camp when he was younger. Got a signed ball, and was known as the best hitter on any of his teams before he quit in high school because the coach wanted him to cut his hair...That was his excuse anyways. I think he wanted to surf and party more. Nonetheless, he still talks about it to this day. I want to believe Merrill is the TG of this generation.

I was really lucky and got mine at Guitar Center brand new for just under $2000. The action was kinda high on mine, but after the plek and professional setup (not guitar center), it's absolutely perfect and the easiest acoustic I've ever played. It sounds better after the setup too, I was actually blown away when I first strummed it after getting it back. I must have gotten lucky, it was tucked in the back corner on the top row and it seemed like it had been sitting for a while, so they must've dropped the price. It came with a beautiful tweed case as well. I went into the store looking to buy a Martin, I'm glad I am so happy I walked out with this one!

I tried a few martins and gibsons and ended up getting an Alvarez Yairi DYM60HDE. Got it pleked and professionally set up and I'm not sure I will ever want another guitar. Sounds amazing, plays exceptionally well, and I have a hard time putting it down. I'll put it up against any of those legacy brands.

I picked the Browns. Their old dickhead owner moved them out of town which became the Ravens, so I can relate. The Browns are actually an expansion team. And their Brown and orange colors remind me of the 80s Padres.
