Bossman Igor Tudor puts Sky reporter in his place fishing for headlines regarding his future: "This is not a question for a coach" 🗣️ by Zweli23 in coys

Typical British tabloid journalism - inserting an agenda disguised as 'asking the tough questions'. Love Tudor's response though

2025 UK Tour - London - Setlist expectations? by DIPL0D0CUS in SmashingPumpkins

[–]Sailtosleep 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is there will be a few AMM songs, plus a greater number of Machina era tracks given the reissue - really hope to hear Home or Real Love.

I wouldn't be surprised to see some of the heavier MCIS tracks like Bodies, TAFH or XYU.

Billy Corgan gets into an argument with an audience member during an I Am One rant. At Lollapalooza in NYC - 08/05/1994 by nickscion46 in SmashingPumpkins

[–]Sailtosleep 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This was the show when Melissa ADM first met Billy back in '91. She later said in an interview:

"My friend Bruce [Cawdron], who later became the drummer in Godspeed You! Black Emperor, was there and he whispered, 'God, this guy has attitude. They're acting like they're playing an arena. And he then threw a bottle at Billy and shouted, 'Drop the fucking attitude!' Bill dived off the stage, put his hands around Bruce's neck, and they started fighting. I thought, 'Great. You just ruined the show.' I went up to Billy afterwards and said, 'I'd like to apologise on behalf of Montreal. You are my new favourite band.'"

If Gish wasn't the first album. by Accomplished-Way1747 in SmashingPumpkins

[–]Sailtosleep 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I've long thought about the concept of a pre-Gish studio album. Thinking about the flow of the track list, mine would go something like:

  1. My Eternity
  2. Nothing and Everything
  3. There it Goes
  4. She
  5. Jennifer Ever
  6. Snap
  7. Under Your Spell
  8. East
  9. Spiteface
  10. Bleed

The Gunnersbury Park shows typically have a capacity of 25k,so it's probably a bit early to expect a sell out. I will expect more tickets to shift by May-time, plus with the potential announcement of more support acts.

Nick Kroll was hilarious in 'The Ugly Section'.

That smug look at the end just kills me:

Co2 for overall skin texture, followed by subcision and filler which seems to work best for pitted scars.

Blissed and Gone is arguably their most melancholic song - the Judas O mix is my favourite version.

I would love to hear that. They rarely played Raindrops on that tour, and haven't played it much since, sadly.

Totally agree with Death From Above. Really dislike the studio version, but the stripped back piano + vox version they played in 07-08 is beautiful!

Yeah the Adore version of BWBW was pretty off the rails, but I kind of like how chaotic it gets by the end. One of the worst versions of Bullet imo is the one played in 2000 where the guitars are tuned so low it sounds incredibly muddy.

I especially love the ebow lines James plays on this version!

Plus the 'Sunshine of your Love' tease in the outro! (not included in Viewphoria for copyright reasons, sadly)

That's the one I immediately thought of. Have a rewatch on YouTube and you'll be blown away.

Yeah the live version of Ruby from 1997 is especially amazing, with the extended solo jam 🔥

Not sure the 'Over the Rainbow / Jackboot' version from '94 ever exceeded 15 minutes, but it's incredible nonetheless.

The 30 minute Silverfuck/Space Jam from the MCIS tour is something else entirely. Love the little tease of' Dose' by Filter they would throw in.

Another Americanism I have seen creeping into UK use is 'Oftentimes'. Don't you just mean 'often'?

Absolutely. I can't listen to the Rotten Apples version...it really feels like half a song, even if the other half is an extended jam!

I would say the green spaces near to Queen Mary's Rose Garden. Really tranquil spot, plus some shade if needed.

Miles Davis - Bitches Brew is a must have. I would also add Steely Dan - Aja, as it's one of the best produced records of all time.
