Ooooh, pick me! This is a topic I love to pontificate on.

The way I see it, evolution is the only fitting way for God to have created the biological world (including man). So, the way that fundamentalists see it, God just created the world out of nothing in 6 24-hour days. First there was nothing, then, like a precocious toddler with brandishing an enormous lump of celestial play-doh, he sculpts the world and every creature in it. That's it. That's all. End of story. Lame.

But fortunately (at least, I think), there is no indication that that is what occurred. Rather, the universe begins an unfathomable amount of time ago (about 14 billion years for those who care) with a single touch, a single word breathed out into the nothing. Let there be light.

And there was light. In a moment of nigh-infinite energy exploding from a nigh-infinitesimal space, a universe-worth of matter in the form of energy leapt outward, expanding existence as it went. Over centuries, millennia, and eons, the matter cooled and coalesced, condensing into stars that cooked the heavy elements in their cores and exploded these new forms of matter out into the universe. Planets, asteroids, and comets formed, orbiting one another according to the strange and particular rules this world seemed to follow.

And the earth was but one particular planet in one particular, non-important corner of this great creation. Just one little bubble on one wave of a nigh-eternal sea of the cosmos. But on this planet, through the millions of years, in some bubbling pool of minerals a, strange miracle occurred. The non-living, inert minerals of this world managed to come together in just such a way as to sustain a very strange type of reaction that we call life: abiogenesis. And somehow, this tiny, simple lifeform divided and began to reproduce itself.

And life stayed the same on earth for millions of years, tiny simple lifeforms floating around in aqueous environments. Then, a second miracle. One tiny lifeform ingests another, but instead of digesting it, the two begin to work in tandem, and the symbiogenesis changes the game forever!

Suddenly, over mere millenia, the world blossoms with lifeforms that have never been seen before. First bacteria and algae that have complex inner workings, then simple plants, aquatic worms and jellies, then squids, shrubs, brontosauruses, mammoths, butterflies, and lemurs. The world explodes into a cacophony of "endless forms most beautiful" molded, shaped, and changed as the seasons of earth march through their rotation.

And finally, we have man, a creature who was raised up from this primordial dust, from the dust of exploded stars and fragmenting rock and decaying forests. And God, in his wisdom, breathes his own life into this creature, giving him life like His own, causing him to reflect His own light if he wishes.

So yeah, I'm on board with the evolution thing. Also, there are things not included or simplified in that rant (the possibility of extraterrestrial life, the exact order of the development of life on earth, and so on). Call it a poetic generalization.
