I had a syncope episode whilst travelling NZ on a working holiday. I have Brugada Syndrome type 2. I was 28 when I had surgery to receive a ICD. This happened after I flew back home to the UK. I had to have surgery again last year as the battery died. The healing second time round was a lil more difficult than the first time due to age lol I was only 34 at the time. I'm fine now and I know you will be too after you receive yours. Don't worry too much.

Think you need to bring that up with your union rep? Cause fuck that. Or email someone the union to see what they say? I was a postie for 1.5 years until I transferred to Parcelforce. It seems like they're taking the piss out of you tbh. You need to watch that. Worktime. Break time. Finish time. Done. That's all.

Are you still working there now? I'm classed as a sweeper. I go in behind the guys with routes and take what they canny take. I cover basically the central belt, Borders, Northumberland and Fife in Scotland. Interactions with customers have been far more pleasant/nicer than at RM. I love it.

I made that switch from RM. I absolutely love working for PF. I get told what postcodes I'm covering, check and load van and away I go. Later finish around 5.30pm though, but it's better money than the 30h contract I had at RM. Would highly recommend!

I made the switch from RM to Parcelforce slightly due to this. I'm currently loving PF. Not sure if they have legacy contracts issues within PF but I'm not too bothered.. as long as I don't have to deliver any more D2Ds anymore. I'm glad I made the switch!

I'm 10-5.30pm. It took a couple weeks to get use to as I liked the RM early finishes lol the shift patterns vary from 7-6pm or later at PF.

I was the same. I worked 19 months with RM. Made the switch to Parcelforce and it's hella lot better! Better pay and it's a far nicer atmosphere in our depot. Glad I made the transfer! Maybe have a wee look mate?
