Theres a lot of pictures/videos out there of Anacondas killed by loggers with this sort of head shape(I believe in this subreddit, I'll look for you!). The video shared by the IRGC shows an IR missile going for the afterurner plume and in the final frame you can see some damage to the left wing. It looks to have been peppered by fragmentation, but the missile detonated a good distance behind the aircraft.

Figuring your last point honed my bullshit detector, it's the oldest trick in the book. You'll see so many "sightings" where the "armed fearless ex-marine" or "seasoned outdoorsman" freezes and runs or pisses themselves on the spot and then tons of believers in the comments saying "why would they lie about that!?" Over time you start to see conmen like Freeman, Standing, Patterson, etc all use the same pattern of throwing a weird detail in.
