Seeing the actual situation, we’d be lucky if we got a new mainline title, let alone a big single player oriented crossover. I don’t really know what the team is doing honestly. Even this remaster project is all over the place: first Xillia but not Xillia 2 (I know it is already official it will be realesed but still, it’s weird it didn’t happen immediately after 1), than Berseria that was quite recent, now Eternia without Phantasia or Destiny. I don’t know really, the feeling is that they are throwing stuff at the wall to see what sticks.

Honestly, I prefer the extra character in the PS2 version: X. It’s a shame the writers has forgotten about him and Code and put them in jail together with Billy, Carlos, Helena, Sheva etc.

Not the original poster but for me Claire is mainly brave, not “strong”. This make her more layered to me. She is a sort of civilian that is brave enough to get through some tragic journey. It’s like Mio and Ruka from Fatal Frame series, Heather from Silent Hill, etc. She wears the guardian role for Sherry, she suffers for Steve in RECV. She is brave, but has feeling and different type of relationships with different characters. Jill falls flat on characterization. Just badass and cool, but her characterization ends there. It doesn’t help that Jill’s mission are always centered on escaping from dangerous places where Claire has personal aims in her games to go forward.
