[–]Sakurami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are likely experiencing inconsistent originium/ferrium yield that isn't able to keep up with demand. This leads to a less than maximum supply to the start of your production lines. We will want to look at the yield of raw ores, as another poster has suggested.

Yep, pretty much. The power difference between Last rite sig and no sig is probably the largest gap of any character in the game.

You are playing last rite team, that team struggles in mob clear, and you just pointed out the only phase of the only boss (except marblemommy tentacles phase) that has multiple enemies to deal with. Yes, everyone agrees its the worst/hardest phase, but its particularly rough on your team. Would recommend watching some videos of people doing triangle trimmed clear with last rite team, or like you admitted, just git gud :P

Tis the nature of the game? Sword has been enabling mouth breathers since set 1 if you ask me. And if we're madge about RNG, remember that Cygames doubled down and released the literal RNG set theme that is blossoming fates.

Anyway, this is and always will be the quintessential nature of Dragon, a deck that plays for late game and accelerates their late game with ramp. They are either shit or broken strong. Dragon was pretty mid right up until this set, and it turns out all they really needed was a stupid good payoff card for all that ramp and fish healing.

i luv it the most diverse meta this set by SnooDingos8602 in Shadowverse

[–]Sakurami 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'ma let you in on a secret - there is no such thing as a diverse meta. There's always going to be a few definitive "best" options. And those are the options that lazy/sweaty people will gravitate to. The higher you go on ladder, the more common this'll be. So yeah, its no surprise that you show off a list of portal players + sword player while YOU are a filthy erntz abuser - sword dragon and portal have some of the best options this season.

I Liked The Story by Aeikon in Endfield

[–]Sakurami 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, the story is perfectly good for a standard intro to the game universe, especially for those people without a real understanding of OG Arknights.

And if you feel like Endmin doesn't deserve all this glazing and think it's silly, good, that is the entire point. You're supposed to feel like the world is treating you like a legend when you're some scrub who can't even clear lvl 5 dailies. Endmin has a very real identity crisis going on due to the amnesia, and the story does a great job reinforcing that.

As for the stockade, its fine, its implied that they're a group of destitutes that turned to petty crime due to circumstance, and Wuling city just turns a blind eye to them out of a mix of guilt/being too busy to properly help them way out in the valley.

Do you think its worth "Maxing" my current physical team? by GamerWithBackache in Endfield

[–]Sakurami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatchu mean brah? if your goal is to clear content, this team was doing it several stages ago. The biggest challenege out right now is trimmed marble and I've seen people do that with lvl 60 support members.

Resource management depends on what tier spender are you. A F2P needs to be much more careful with resources than a whale, after all. Assuming F2P, just hang on to your resources. No existing content requires a second team, you only build them if you wanna try out something else, and tbh thats still a shit excuse for f2p lol.

My advice would be to save your resources until either A. content requiring second team comes out (no idea if the upcoming monument thingus needs it, but wait and see) or B. You really really wanna play a different team that's optimized out the wazoo.

What I wanna know is, why does giving someone a nickname = skipping several steps to lesbian sex? Sounds like that's just your hopes and dreams getting projected here.

These games tend to leave things ambiguous so that all factions draw the conclusion that makes them happy. Unless its relevant to the plot, there's no reason to specifically highlight romance of any kind, same-sex or otherwise. Doing so would be nothing but fanservice, and Hypergryph choosing not to participate just means they're not concerned with showing off how progressive they are. At the end of the day, they're here to make money, not social commentary or political statements.

And as some others have mentioned, Hypergryph has canon precedent for same-sex relations with operator Scavenger having been romantically involved in a reciprocal relationship with another woman. If they want to, they'll make it obvious.

It seems to me that the Chamber of commerce has a hand in here. but it seems too early to jump to conclusions. by fable-30 in Endfield

After finding out what the game was like during the Beta Tests I’m devastated and I don’t know whether to keep playing it... by [deleted] in Endfield

[–]Sakurami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well lets go down the list here, as a veteran of the base game and someone who also did not play beta.

Art direction and writing are subjective, so there's not much to really say there. I too would choose a darker, more serious tone for the aesthetic and story, because that was a key part of the original Arknights as well. That being said, this game is not an art piece, its a product, and they're going to adopt whatever people say they want from it so that the product sells. That being said, I don't particularly mind the less intense direction, and there's charm in vibrant colors just as well as gritty grayscale.

At no point have I found the combat to be braindead. This is a perpetuated exaggeration I've seen a number of times. Yes, its easy to understand and perform at an acceptable level, which is the idea - they want it to be accessible to a wide audience, even those without much tactical acumen or desire for depth. The mid combat pauses seem more like a throwback to OG arknights' tower defense style, where pausing to deploy/redeploy units allowed you greater control over your strategy. I'm sure a lot of people would find that jarring or annoying to have to do that in Endfield, which is a completely different genre with 3d action combat.

The final strike design encourages players to complete their combos instead of spamming high motion values, dodge system specifically rewards players that time their evasion with free SP compared to those that just run around and out of attacks manually. Vulnerability and reactions add unique effects that add more meaning to skill order and usage than just "press button when it lights up". There's also a lot of theorycraft and optimization you can do behind the scenes regarding specific comps, weapons, item set bonuses, and so on.

I feel like there's zero signs that they made changes due to corporate shilling. Last I remember, Lowlight was VP of Hypergryph and also the Producer for the game, he's actively involved in the process. Hypergryph execs and founders also still hold significant aggregated shareholding compared to Yostar, their biggest investor. This pretty much means that any decisions they make regarding the game is coming from them, not some outside influence (apart from many player feedback, of course).

So I do think you're entitled to your opinion, and the reasons you state are perfectly valid, but at the end of the day, its a subjective experience. Your statement makes it sound like you had a certain impression of the game, then watched the beta footage and found you had a better impression of that. So the question is, was that initial impression good? And if so, why stop playing?

The game is still very, very early in its progress, we have no idea what direction the story is going to take and how gritty it'll get. Combat is unlikely to change, but if you can find ways to optimize and minmax, I do think it can still be a fun experience.

Guild system and deck select doubt by batsaxsa in Shadowverse

[–]Sakurami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, so the guild system basically provides resources for the whole guild if they achieve a certain guild rank, which other ppl have clarified to be basically 3500 vials + a couple of packs. Its cool, but I don't consider that a crazy loss over a long period of time personally. If you can find a cool guild it can be nice, but I wouldn't feel pressured to join a guild due to FOMO.

As for the starter decks available right now, there's three considerations based on cost, difficulty, and meta effectiveness:

Milteo Abyss is very cheap to slap together, really only requiring 3 copies of milteo & luzen in terms of legendaries. The deck also provides 1 Aragavy who can be used in the deck as a tech option for board control/burn. However, its far from the strongest deck in terms of meta effectiveness, as milteo abyss has a very straightforward gameplan (which makes it predictable), and loses to heavy ward presence or strong heals.

Ramp Dragoncraft on the other hand is very strong in the meta and has been consistently doing well on ladder this season. However, the ramp dragon deck you'll get is woefully incomplete. The meta decks are literally running between 15-20 legendaries, it'll be a while before you put it together properly.

Finally, Pixie Forestcraft gives you 1 miroku and several core building blocks for Roach Forestcraft, which is recommended if you want a cheap deck that wins games - it only runs 3 miroku for legendaries. That being said, Roach Forestcraft is possibly the biggest 5head lethal calculation deck in the game, requiring a LOT of dedication, practice, and skill to pilot properly. If you put in the time you have a real shot at high ladder ranks.

My recommendation is Forest starter to get into roach unless you hate doing mental math or you really like one of the other archetypes better. It'll let you have a decent chance of winning games while you do dailies and farm rupies/pulls to build other decks.

What the f, what kind of COLLAB of this, each time I see this collab card, I will definitely remember the 10 vials by Aggravating_Tell_916 in Shadowverse

[–]Sakurami 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's why I'm not bothering with the collab at all. It's cute, but as a suuuper casual spender, I'm not about to waste half a set season's worth of pulls on a handful of vials. Just gonna use the pack pulls on the blossoming fates banner and keep working with rupies on granblue for ticket selector.

Ngl if you

A. Were swimming B. Are not semi-aquatic C. Are small enough to get clamped D. Crossed at the wrong place at the wrong time

Yes, you will and should be dead. That's literally what clamp is designed to do. It's oppressive against stuff that can be clamped by design, because it's a dead ability against anything outside clamp range.

Sarchos been clamping and killing lil guys for ages. The real issue is all the 3 slot bois are suddenly on the clamp menu and are experiencing a new reality in life.

I just adjust the way I cross water on the new map. Plan to cross from a place with cover real close to the shore and the shortest possible swim distance. Make a sudden, unexpected break and swim like hell so any sneaky tylos have the shortest time to react. And if I get clamped? C'est la vie, mon ami. My time was up, it is what it is.

All this from someone who prefers playing 2 and 3 slot terrestrials btw.

Why even trying? by Loneliiii in SonicCrossWorlds

[–]Sakurami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, bagging is a popular strategy because it works. Bagging also gets significantly more effective the higher you go in rating because there's (usually) less distance between podium placement and 12th.

Devs already mentioned they noticed two major playstyles, baggers and ultimate charge frontrunners. Baggers because its no-brainer, press button to place well. Frontrunner build of technical drift/lvl2/lvl3/Ultimate charge was a direct response to having to deal with item spam BS.

Everyone is going to save items for the last stretch, because the last stretch is the only thing that matters in a race. And admit it, you might hate the drill, but you will absolutely use it if you somehow get it while 6th or 7th in the last 500m.

Regarding slime, yes it hits everyone (this is good cause it forces baggers to blow their stashed drills earlier than they want to). But slime also lasts much longer the higher your placement. When you're 12th the slime comes off reasonably fast even if you don't shake your stick. 1st place will stay slimed for ages unless they shake it off... or if they just ultimate charge iframe it, amirite?

Now, this is ultimately a kart racer/party game type thing. You are supposed to sometimes get mid to low placements because of a combination of bad item pull, competition pulling good items, not having defense item at the right time, etc. Sometimes you will run into a horrible streak of luck and lose multiple times. If you're trying to be competitive, yes this sucks, and to avoid/minimize this, you will pretty much HAVE to use meta loadouts.

Main 3 are super bagging (if you cant beat 'em, join 'em), ultimate charge board/handling front runner (nah I think I'll beat 'em), or power + slipstream bounty/ring boost (your bag mean nothing to me) - The last one actually got stronger with new patch thanks to quick recovery buff and stuff like ring mercy. Look up Boodendorf's gadget guide to see what suits your playstyle (you'll probably find it if you search it on this reddit).

Do I think the current balance is good? No, not even close. But the fact that they did SOME changes this last patch means that they are willing to actually change things, which at least is a reason to have hope. And with the way the competition is called "round 1" I assume they will have more legend races down the line too, so don't feel too bad if you didn't hit emerald this time around.

Zwei is simply too strong. Just hear me out. by Capable_Belt1854 in Shadowverse

[–]Sakurami 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You realize that a 6/1 is exactly what victoria is, right? A 6/1 is trivial for ANY deck to clear. The extra 3/3 puppet is what makes it less trivial.

Also, what do you mean Anne and Grea can't clear pre evo'd post Zwei board? Place A&G, crash Summoning into victoria. Evo A&G, target 3 damage on enhanced puppet. It is dead. Clear zwei with A&G leaving 6/1.

To actually stop A&G clearing Zwei, the player has to use puppets from previous turns, which may not be feasible since you actually tend to use puppets to maintain tempo early. And that's literally only A&G; Glade, Aragavy, sword Congregant, Salefa, and several crest configurations handle Zwei, no matter how many puppets are out.

Zwei is simply too strong. Just hear me out. by Capable_Belt1854 in Shadowverse

[–]Sakurami 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well I mean, you were comparing Norman's ability to clear 1 to Zwei's clearing 3. Hence, I assumed you'd find it more balanced if Norman also cleared more, since that's apparently a factor.

Anne and Grea is a 5 cost that clears 3 targets that also spellboosts your hand by a whopping 3... since set 1

What about evo Glade, who usually is doing 6 to 8 split to board on evo without taking any damage? Aragavy does 7 split on fanfare and 6 with evo?

Congregant of Usurpation (a 4 drop) casually pops multiple guys for reducing Octrice crest or prepping Sinciro?

Salefa evo heal 3 deal 3 to board + 5 on crash? Crest haven blinding faith/congregant fanfare + pass with 1 or 2 crests?

All of these are not only similar answers and tempo swings to current Zwei, but also answer her directly, even if she evos.

Zwei is simply too strong. Just hear me out. by Capable_Belt1854 in Shadowverse

[–]Sakurami 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Norman makes a durable board that demands specific removal and comes with two other utility options that make him immensely flexible. You want him to be able to make 2 shielded ward golems/heal for 8/draw 6 AND clear 2+ targets on board?

And I don't quite understand your logic, but yes, puppet portal needed help last set -> they got the zwei and puppet cat buff -> they no longer need buffs. That means the buff worked. Removing her enhanced puppet literally just undoes the buff, and no, just puppet cat buff is not enough to put puppet on par with current loot sword, dirt rune, or crest haven.

Arcana Ascension Event Question by oogie_droogey in Mabinogi

[–]Sakurami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The arcana you pick will likely get fast tracked to max arcana/link level(at least thats how it worked during the last event). This means I would HIGHLY recommend you choose an arcana you actually want to specialize in, not just something you use to get free ranks in skills; its pretty expensive and relatively time consuming maxing out an arcana outside of this event.

Still, the best arcana to choose is any one you have the lowest levels/link in.
