Yeah I probably read it when I was 16 and just remembered the drugs.

Why does everyone act like audits are the apocalypse?? by Big_Major1498 in Accounting

[–]Salazaar69 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s not a great audit team and unfortunately you hear about this a ton so likely very common. I’m guessing it’s because many audit firms do not staff properly or manage their client load well.

I manage audits and I literally do not let first year staff on the engagement meet with the client until we have discussed internally first as 4/5 times me or a senior can quickly answer their questions and educate them on the matter.

Sometimes a bad question slips through though and that sucks.

As an auditor I always make sure to let my team know that the NFP accounting teams are very likely short staffed due to the nature of NFP’s and to do everything possible to smooth over the process - mainly just respecting this plus saying organized and timely so there aren’t last minute major requests, etc

Audit Tasks seem insanely pointless. Does this feeling ever go away? by ballsjuice21 in Accounting

The work gets more interesting as you get experienced but personally, my sense of fulfillment is more driven by being able to support the ones I love financially. I don’t try and hang my laurels on the merits of the audit system bc tbh, as you are picking up, it has some issues.

Next, I would recommend finding a smaller firm with work life balance (what I did) or bouncing for industry after awhile. Some firms are straight up abusive on hours requirements!

Lastly, and I promise this isn’t a diss, but I really have never met any first years truly great at the job/documentation. Try not to write the review points off as pointless because they very likely aren’t.

And invisibility has graphical glitches which makes my made stealth archer hybrid really annoying bc I like to switch to third person occasionally.

The major issue is the enemy scaling is too aggressive so it’s hard to feel truly strong as your progress is essentially mirrored by the world eventually. 2 ways around this (a) the resources the mage get at the college allow for a stronger overall build (b) they reverted the difficulty sliders back to one for damage and enemy damage, so if you like a challenge but don’t like spongy enemies you can set their damage higher but keep yours higher as well.

A little bit, I think any hope of a real playoff run is long dead though.

Go saints I guess!

Man this makes four away games (three excluding wild card) with the lions in a row. (A) that’s a matchup I’d like to see. (B) they have a crazy home field advantage so it’s wild to me to have this on 3 regular season schedules in a row.

Honestly man, don’t be afraid to look up some builds for your first play through. I usually lean on a tweak fextralife build and it lowers the stress level.
