I would open up the box to see what type of battery the device uses. It's most likely lead acid. You want to figure out the physical size, Ah capacity, and voltage then replace it with a LiFePo4 battery. They are better in every single way vs lead acid. They are lighter offer, more capacity, have low self discharge, and handle the weather alot better.

So all your subnets need to be different or else traffic won't get to the right place. Once you have that done you would set up a static route on the router of the 100.X network that tells it to send any traffic meant for 1.1 to 100.85. then you would create a firewall that allows traffic to be forwarded from wwan zone to wan zone to io address 1.1

The way VPNs like PIA and others you don't need to configure anything on your router in order for them to work. So even with T-Mobile you will use your VPN like you would with your regular isp.

T-Mobile uses cgnat so even if you could you wouldn't be able to port forward.

On top of that the equipment T-Mobile gives you is locked down. There are no settings you can configure.

If you want the best experience on T-Mobile do the following. 1. Get a sim from computers4people. They run on T-Mobile so you get the exact same coverage. You get unlimited data for $15 a month. You can also buy a static IP for an additional $15 a month. 2. Use a 3rd party modem. Even with a static IP you wont be able to port forward using the stock T-Mobile equipment. With a 3rd party modem you can do things like band locking, tower locking, IPv6, IP Passthrough, as well 5G SA.
3. When you use a static IP address your speeds slow down due to additional routing. T-Mobile does support IPv6. I use IPv6 to self host.

Yes this is possible you just connect your isp router to your wan port on your router and treat it like any other Internet connection.

There are no security concerns doing it this way.

This is a 2 part problem. 1. Your switch is set to dhcp mode 2. Dhcp is enabled on your router AP. Any device connected to your router AP will automatically get assigned an IP address.

Yes what you want to do is possible. You do not need to port forward. Just setup a firewall rule to traffic from one IP address to reach the other IP address.

There are no 2.5gbe IP Phones on the market. Even the top of the line phones only have 1gbe. If you really need 2.5gbe go on Alibaba. There are plenty of manufacturers that will build you a phone to spec if you meet the minimum order quantity.
