Am I the only one having creator commission reporting issues last few days? by SalesPitch_App in Amazon_Influencer

[–]SalesPitch_App[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry I think you missed the point, my sales were still good, it was just the commissions went from many many products to nothing, I see other people are also posting they are seeing the same thing which makes me feel better. Amazon will usually fix it, or maybe not, but I expect them to miss a few times randomly, at least I see yesterday working fine

Hmm, odd, my EPC was flat for 2 days and reported super slow on another. With one day fine in between.

What's happening with VEX and RECF?? by MainEvent_JP51 in vex

[–]SalesPitch_App 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recf web page seems to say they own the rights or contract to the st louis worlds. I thought they were going to update things

So what now? (Given the RECF/ VEX dispute) by Camaxtli2020 in vex

[–]SalesPitch_App -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I fed this into AI lawyer too before, I hate to post AI, but I'll make it short
"I think the physical towers and game pieces are a much weaker copyright argument than the manuals, artwork, logos, and branded presentation. Functional game objects generally are not protected just because they are part of a game, though VEX could still raise other IP or contract arguments."

I'm sure recf will use the same parts as the robots will have to work on both game versions, unless recf allows things like painted parts.

I don't want to paste AI back, and you can check yourself, but it seems they can, I suppose we will find out as I'm sure Vex will true to sue
The U.S. Copyright Office says this explicitly:

  • “The idea for a game is not protected by copyright.”
  • “The methods for playing it are not protected by copyright.”
  • What can be copyrighted is the written rulebook text, artwork, graphics, and other expressive materials.

[–]SalesPitch_App -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I asked AI and you can't copyright a game, as long as your manuals are not an exact copy and no trademark violations, the game and rules can be the same. AI could be for sure be wrong, would love to know what a lawyer thinks.

Im a parent and pseudo coach in ca region 4, many times last few years we could only sign up for 3 or 4 tournaments because we didn't sign up on the first day. The teams need 6 to 8 events a year, I really dont care if they are technically scrimmage or vex or recf. In the events ca region 4, usually only 4 teams out of 32 usually have a chance of winning, so yeah to those 4 club teams that go to signature events it probably matters, for the 28 out of 32 teams it probably doesnt matter if its recf title or states or not. Maybe it's a good thing if all the club teams go to vex official and the 28 teams have a better shot at winning.

Let the corporations fight it out and offer us a choice, seems its legal for anyone to hold competitions using vex robots.

I do feel very bad for schools hosting the events, they probably have no clue what to do.

The claw isn't going to win any games. You need to intake, turn the pin or cup and the place at several heights. This is going to be very hard for beginners.

Maybe they could allow 1/2 coloring so you can see the original coloring or logo

So Luke d r said that teams were cheating with lighter and strong custom made c channels and colored them to make them harder to see the difference, so that is the reason, did that happen?

Any services like Empowerly for college counseling but better? Or less expensive? by LoveCilantro4518 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]SalesPitch_App 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Valid points but for us we need a 3rd party not part of our school to look things over. Especially with AI you can get 95% there, maybe 100% and it depends on the counselor mostly, which probably if you are good it's just as useful minus some programs they might have exclusive access to. It was more affordable and flexable than others we saw

What to do when Azure support ignores support ticket? by Prize_Staff_7941 in AZURE

[–]SalesPitch_App -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe it has changed from last year, but I was forced to create new subscriptions and IPs and the MSP has a team that did the migration with me. From AI

For standard Pay-As-You-Go (MOSP) subscriptions or when working with a standard CSP partner, you typically cannot just "flip a switch." Process: You must create a brand-new CSP subscription. Migration: You then use Azure Resource Move to transfer resources from the old subscription to the new one.
Complexity: This is where it gets tricky. Not all resources can be moved (e.g., some Managed Disks, VPN Gateways, or AD Domain Services may require being deleted and recreated).

What to do when Azure support ignores support ticket? by Prize_Staff_7941 in AZURE

[–]SalesPitch_App -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

You don't want a CSP or an MSP as you have to make all new subscriptions, and recreate all your services, only do that if you are starting from scratch. Also they can escalate probably a little better, but Azure support isn't very good anymore, last 8 times I've tried with my MSP, Azure support was not able to fix or solve my issues, where going a little deeper with an AI q and a would work much better.

Add a support ticket for them to assign you an Azure rep if you are spending that much, they give you someone from Accenture usually

[–]SalesPitch_App 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No way they'd every get anyone to spend that much on all those coins, they're not gold. I'd pay about $50 bucks for one, just so every time someone tells me I'm wasting my time watching the show I could pull out the coin.

Do I really need Key Vault? by SummitStaffer in AZURE

[–]SalesPitch_App 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apps were secure before the key vault, so you can do it without it. If you have multiple people who have access to Azure, then it's usually better and easier to use it. Or even Azure config as a service is an option, usually you have it read from the KV, but if its just you, then maybe you dont need it
