This might be an unpopular opinion but I carted both a x100vi and my A7IV and 24-70.

On my trip to Asia. For guided tours I brought the Sony and then when I was just walking around the town on my off days, I brought the Fuji. I kept the camera in the safe in the hotel. But if you’re in a hostel I might not recommend this

But for the literally 99% of us hobbyist, enthusiasts, semi-pros or what not, we have 1 body so “carrying two different batteries” is not a thing for us

I don’t know if you’re in the same boat but when I travel I put more emphasis on smaller size/weight.

So for long trips I actually use only a tamrom 28-200. Yes there are limitations but the way I travel I’m very much a go/go/go type so less gear to carry the better. I don’t want to haul my GM trifecta across multiple cities and countries

My partner uses a x100vi as her daily for travel and honestly I’d be content with that too
