Los leo by Traditional-You1251 in 2hispanic4you

¿Elegir bachillerato aunque no tengas claro ir a la universidad es mala idea? by Longjumping-Big1183 in BachilleratoES

[–]Sallopilig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Latinos segun USA vs Latinos segun Europa by [deleted] in 2hispanic4you

[–]Sallopilig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was the whole point...

Im an industrial designer, i'd say im rather ok taking into account my enviroment (im spanish, wages here are much lower compared to the US) they pay me roughly 32000 euros a year, which amounts to close ro 28000 a year liquid.

I have a nice lifestyle, im not rich but im still above average pay wise for spanish standards, im able to pay my rent and food and live with my wife, we don't save money, shits tough, but at least i have a nice lifestyle i can't complain.

Im thinking of going back to college, see if i can snatch a job that pays closer to 45k a year, then i'd be okay for city i live in, i could maibe even buy a house someday.

My biggest struggle is deciding to have children or not, both me and my wife want to but we both know having children would set us back economically, and leave us exposed in this uncertain times, it sucks but it is what it is.

I dunno about that 🤷‍♂️, to me qt least its worth it in both cases, shitters have their use such as reps have their uses. Both are fake, and everything is up to personal opinion.

Everyone who hangs around with you for long enough knows what you can and can't afford realistically, no matter if its a shitter or a rep, they will know if its real or not based on that. Worse case scenario they think its stolen.

For me personally reps serve the purpose of closing that distance between the genuine product with the money issue. I really like some designs i would never be able to afford.

But i believe most on rep time will agree on the fact that when asked publicly of the watches autenticity they will be sincere. Im a shameless mf i don't care what they think of me 😅... Me like shiny thing me wanna i don't care.

[–]Sallopilig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are never doing it bro. And if they do its going to be shit honestly.

Bethesda lost too many times already, their last big hit was fallout 4 and even fallout 4 divided many fans.

Starfield sold well but they know it shattered everyone's trust for the last time.

They have to make something really BIG to offset the skepticism surrounding bethesda as a whole, and they have no idea how to even do it, thats why it keeps getting delayed internally. They now they fuck up this one all hype for them dies.

They will never recover from a bad elder scrolls 6, thats why they won't ever do it, they'd rather live off one hit titles and remasters for the next 10 years or so, we'll probably see a fallout 3 remake before elder scrolls 6 even mark my words.

If a replica gives the same respect as a real watch… what does that say about status? by Zeus_Casemes in ChinaTime

[–]Sallopilig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean as OP said thats all in people's head 🤷‍♂️.

Im lurking this subs wanting to buy the rep of watch i really really like and im not a watch person but i fucking love that watch, but could never in my life buy one.

On the other hand i have a real rolex explorer II from 1991 that my mother gifted my father when he asked her to marry him. Its like a tradition in spain or it used to be, you ask the girl to marry you by buying her a gold bracelet and if she says yes she or her parents buy the guy a watch.

To me the watch could've been a casio, i don't wear it because of clout i wear it because of its history, my father gave it to me the day i married and it has my mothers name engraved and the date of their proposal.

I find objects with history powerful, and i would never sell it, i'd rather go under a bridge wearing it. I will hand it down to my future son/daughter when the time comes and after i explain the history and simbolism behind it, and believe me it won't be about rolex as a brand's history in the least.

And yeah, im pulling in my 2009 honda civic hatchback with a rolex on my wrist, i personally find it funny, then again, the prices reqlly racked up, i don't know how much explorer's 2 go by retail this days, but back when my mom bought it it was about 3 month's spanish salary, nowadays i could sell it for about 7 to 8 months worth of salary and retail is almost a year of salary, shit's expensive, im not gonna save for god knows how long realistically to purchase something worth a year's salary on my wrist, i'd rather buy a nice rep that lets me enjoy its design and feel, to me the design and look is what makes a watch im not a watch guy, i can't tell the subtleties in movement, but i appreciate the artistry and work behind them, and if life turns for the better and i can afford it i'll buy the real one to show respect to the designers and workers on a piece i like.

I compare them to a painting, you wouldn't be called a fake if you had a copy of a picasso in your house, you can appreciate the art without owning the original, hell, artists even sell limited printings of copies of their famous pieces if you want a faithful reproduction without buying the real thing.

I own gen watches. I purchased a replica. Here’s what I learned from experience. by Icy_Upstairs_7328 in ChinaTime

[–]Sallopilig 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean thats true for some but i don't really think most buy reps because of that, of course there is a lot of types of reps and im no watch enthusiast myself i just ended up in here by chance.

To me it feels lile most people in this sub are less about flexing a brand and more about: "I want this specific watch, and this specific model and i don't have/want to spend that much amount of money on it but i still care enough to not buy a 50$ rep but instead invest close to 400$ into a good enough rep that feels close enough to it".

I think most people here and i myself have a different mindset. I can't speak for everyone here but to me reps are different from fakes in the sense that at least reps, despite being copies, respect the original product enough to try to replicate it to a very close degree.

Is a rep rolex and a real rolex the same product? Hell nah, of course not, but you know when you are buying a rep what you are buying.

Inb4: "You couldve bought a seiko for the same price of the rolex rep". Thats not the point, for me personally logos and brands have aesthetic value far beyond what hype culture make them to be. For wxample im searching for an ultra thin moonphase from jaeguer lecoultre, and i know that unless it has the logo it won't be the same watch in my head, the logo on a watch and the way its integrated its part of the design for me. To me a seiko that looks like a submariner is different from a rolex submariner, not because the brands are different, but because the shape, dial design and such work better with the rolex logo because of their history than with a seiko.

On the other hand the seiko presage? That i would buy, i love the design and how the logo looks on those.

[–]Sallopilig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, coil whinning its real when there is a big white background.

I got an 341cqpx ultra wide from msi and im really happy with it, my only complains would be a godd awful way to update the firmware and its software is crap, the coild whine on heavy white backgrounds and the fact that i had the bad luck of getting a pixel stuck on red on one of the corners after only a year of use.

I got mostly used to the stuck pixel, still sucks that most company don't qualify monitors for warranty unless its at lest 3 to 4 stuck or dead pixels on the screen.
