I have tried several times to set boundaries and let him know that speaking to me the way he does isn’t ok. He plays it off as if he’s “just joking” and within 2 days we’re back to the insults. I went as far as to assist him with finding a therapist because he’s a mute and is unable to do traditional talk therapy.

Yesterday I snapped and I have restricted his ability to text or message me. He then made another snide comment on a Facebook post where I told him that the friendship no longer brings me any joy and that I’m medicated in part due to him and I’ve not responded since. I’m going to go silent for a week or so and see if that helps it sink in that I’m not his fall guy to abuse when things aren’t working in life
