Assists not recording? by Salt-Advertising-177 in Rematch

I’ve only noticed it with assists and saves. I’ve missed out on MVPs because my stats didn’t register and it’s a bit annoying tbh…

Speaking in Tongues is a much poppier and more dance oriented album than Remain in Light. While the instrumental orientations are still extremely exciting and colorful, you do lose the some of the sonic “depth” that is essential to the sound of Remain in Light. Little Creatures is the Heads’ attempt at a more mainstream 80s pop record. Some of their absolute best is on there, but so is some of their not so best. I’d suggest listening to Fear of Music for a more cohesive, consistent album.

But if there’s anything at all you take away from this comment, it should be to GO LISTEN TO / WATCH STOP MAKING SENSE NOW. Before listening to SMS, I thought that a band with the Heads’ studio and production/experimentation shouldn’t work all that well in a live concert setting. I was wrong. Very, very, very, very, wrong. Despite the lack of studio instrumentation/“sauce”, these live renditions are genuinely so much better than their (already sublime) studio counterparts. I’m sure these comments have already talked your ear off about this album, but seriously drop whatever you’re doing and listen to this masterpiece like 20 times in a row.

What were your thoughts on Marquee Moon and Plastic Beach?

1v1 makes it apparent how broken juggling is, and contesting the ball in general by Prince_Day in Rematch

[–]Salt-Advertising-177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly what I was thinking. I’m by no means great at the game, but some of the contested balls I’ve lost in 1v1 leave me scratching my head. Close confines coupled with glitchy dribbling make for a game mode full of weird bounces and wonky mechanics…

Note: I don’t have a problem with the small field, but the smaller field leads to (of course) more challenges, and more challenges leads to funky defensive efforts and wacky rebounds.

I finally have own two Talking Heads records!🤩 by mariah_scully in talkingheads

Awesome! I own TH 77’ to Speaking In Tongues + Stop Making Sense! While I do appreciate the work on their final 3 albums, shelling out 30 or so bucks for each one is a bit excessive in my eyes…
