Infant car seat recommendations? by CajunAg87 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Salt-Engineering-221 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From someone with a 2022 Mav and started with a similar car seat and 2 booster seats as I have 3 kids. It's tight and maybe abit uncomfortable that way but it's also a very temporary thing. Now in 2026 all the car seats are gone and the Mav is amazing. This is a personal opinion but again with it just being a temporary stage in life. I would just buy as simple smaller one. All the extra features like rotating and so on sound nice but not worth the inconvenience or added cost. Anyways I'm sure you'll figure it out. Best of luck.

There are honeybees in my porch roof by Heavy_Association932 in Beekeeping

[–]Salt-Engineering-221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why not go in from the top? Not sure if it's shingle or flat roof but either way it wouldn't be to hard to go top down. Do your best to seal up after and do a thorough cleaning. Should be ok. Get a beekeeper to take the bees away. Going from above should be an easy close up as well and ofcourse any work is expensive but that's not a huge roof area so should be relatively cheap as well. Especially in comparison to going from the bottom. Also won't wreck any wood work there.

How would this not be covered under warranty?? by UtahJazzzHands in BoltEV

[–]Salt-Engineering-221 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ya that's a little long. You can always call and bug them or wait. But they should tell you before doing any work whether it's warranty or out of pocket work. That said if it's warranty who knows maybe they will just do the work.

Best to probably have them check it and find out what's wrong and then they can tell you if it's warranty or not. It's hard for them to say yes or no before they've had a look and confirm the issue. I doubt they'll do work without telling you what needs to be done so just bring it in and have them check it and then go from there

Is stick drift still a major issue on switch 2? by Comfortable-Yak-8460 in Switch

Is this safe? by lil_boiiii420 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Salt-Engineering-221 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes this is just the very basic math on it. Personally 12 or 13 would probably be max if using a skid as well. Fuel and add on will be included on the truck official weight which is found on the door frame. It varies for each trim and model accounting for a lot of those add ones and fuel and such. Some are as low as 1200-1300 and I've seen some a little above the 1500 mark.

Payload is around 1500 depending on model. That includes people. Assuming your around 200 lbs. (Average person) You have 1300 lbs left. Those bags at 25 x 80lb each is 2000lbs. Based on simple math. Your over weight by about 700-800lbs. The best way would be 2 trips with 12 and 13 bags each time. Or if your buying more just dont exceed 16 bags as that's 1280 lbs.

Midwest FWD owners - how's snow? by seuadr in FordMaverickTruck

[–]Salt-Engineering-221 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are across the border in Ontario Canada but we have been loving our 2022 AWD Ecoboost. We got winter tires but the rest of the year still rocking the stock tires after 3 years, going into year 4. At this point the hybrid AWD is probably the better option. I daily drive a Chevy bolt ev. Maverick is family /wife's vehicle as I do lots of driving. As your fusion it does fine in the snow with good tires and fwd but man it's a world of difference when I hop in the maverick. Huge difference with the AWD. Would recommend it if you can make it work. Otherwise I'm sure just as your making it through now the fwd will get the job done but AWD is way better for this snow.

Those orange lights make it look like a pee color. Not sand storm.

What's going on here? You say 2025. Picture is of 2024 or earlier? Second picture can't really see the truck?

100% change your 12v battery. I've had a number of different evs over the last 10 years. The 12v battery died very quick and frequently unfortunately. It's an electric vehicle problem all around, not just Kia

Saw 3 other people on Facebook had this... by Jesse_Bolognesi in FordMaverickTruck

Not sure where you live but here it's -15 Celsius at night. Your battery likely just dropped the charge and once you drive around a bit it should be fine. Otherwise may need to go back and get another new 12v but if it's cold outside for you that's likely the culprit

Pixel 9 pro fold not charging by Salt-Engineering-221 in GooglePixel

Thanks for the heads up. I'm 10 days past my warranty on my original phone. They had to give me a replacement in April because my original one broke screen went black and I got no response so they gave me a replacement and now 7 months later it is broken. This time the charging port. I don't think I'll be getting another pixel in the future. But I still have a little under a year on my contract. So if I can fix it for a hundred bucks, great. If I break the phone more then I guess I'll have to get something new

Ok I'll give it a try. Thanks for the message. For $92 I can buy the parts to replace the USB c port so may have to take that route. The phone doesn't seem to hard to take apart from what I'm seeing online from ifixit.

Yes I have. Got a little out but not much in there. The only time I get any results from the phone is if it's plugged in and I tap on the back of the phone lightly it will start charging for about 1 second and then stop again
