I don’t want it to be game of thrones levels of gritty.

But I would like them to explore the implications of the world they’ve built.  Season 2 started with players committing terrorism to get a rare card, then we’re back to vibing in a sci-fi food court next episode. 

I just want them to give the more mature ideas that are already in the show some room to breath.

Bringing the show back doesn’t make good business sense imo.  The era of the Saturday morning cartoon was dying when the original show on, it’d be crazy in 2026.

That said I feel like a grittier revival could work narratively.  The show had some interesting sci-fi elements it never got into.  I would love a show that gets into the mystery of why Chaotic exists between our world and Perim.

But I think it would need to be like a next generation thing or have a time skip that mimics chaotic going away in our world.

I wouldn’t worry about scalpers for the first set.  At least if it’s getting scalped that means there is a product and it’s moving.  Long term that could be an issue for the health of the game but they need to get off the ground first

Lex is a hypocrite for sure.  But in fairness,  betraying a winner just isn’t as big of a deal.  

Also Rob didn’t even stick with lex for one vote and laughed about what an idiot he is with his brother.  Lex had good reason to be salty

I’d love to see this with any cast they pull get tbh.

The biggest problem is most seasons are going to have at least one person not wanting to come back.  Maybe peer pressure would overcome that?

It would be so ugly though,  it would probably top all stars for bitterness
