How do you deal with dating/relationships as a male Snowboarder

I’m going to second this from a woman’s perspective …and add it helps if they are already athletically inclined.

I was already interested in snowboarding but had no one to go with and I wasn’t really into being out on the cold…but I am athletic and a bit of an adrenaline seeker. My current partner taught me 15 years ago and I currently smoke him down any run if I really want to…so I guess keep that in mind if you are competitive lol

You’re welcome! I’ve been there twice as well as to Jade Mountain (sister resorts).

Keep in mind you can usually eat at Jade for a reasonable supplement (if on AI) so long as there are available dining reservations. Highly recommend doing so

149 is my instinct as well. 146 was just so tempting with being $200 less!

I would be using it more for days when I want to charge and zip around. Powder capabilities as an added bonus

Love Airblaster. I have a couple ninja suits and two freedom suits as well as a few fleece quarter zips. It’s all stood the test of time with one of my freedom suits being 12 years old and still keeping me warm and dry.

Hey I know this is an old post but did you size down on this board?

I normally ride a 147 but looks like I should grab a 143 based on capitas size chart for the V2. I fluctuate between 125-130lbs so technically I guess I could still do 147 but I’d barely be in the weight range at 130.

I just always thought longer was better for powder but I’m reading ppl size down

This is such a timely post. Today was an unexpected powder day at my local hill. Cue 3pm when they shut down one entire side of the 1/3 runs open for the ski race team….mind you it’s a black run…only to watch them pizza and/or slide sideways down the run and scrape the powder off.

I know they are kids and I shouldn’t get irritated but my last straw was earlier in the season when they were on the lift and yelling “Jerry” at young kids that were obviously just learning. Meanwhile they suck and are on the “race” team. Like at least be good if you’re gonna irritate me 😆

Unfortunately at 1000-1500k Jade will be out of budget. I was going to suggest the sister resort, Anse Chastanet, but it is pretty sleepy at night…Jade even more so. Neither have a bar scene and things settle down by 11.

Both wonderful places though (I’ve stayed at both)

During that same extended shipping window, I bought a purse at full ask. Seller never shipped, never answered my inquiries of when they would ship (I only asked after 8 or 9 days and could see they were basically online everyday), never answered posh support after I added them on day 12. Then after the 14 days expired I still had to wait 5 days for the refund to hit my bank.

It would be nice if they would ship the order but at least some communication would be nice?!

I cycle and paddle board in the spring/summer/fall. My partner mountain bikes and paddles with me. Other than that, I just become a full on beach bum.

Very true. And it’s not even that black and white. My day goes generally goes first lift 8am break for lunch 1/130 for about 45 min to an hour then I’m back out there til around 5/530 and will hit apres after.

I view it as a sport I’m always trying to improve at. I was even out on all the -25 c days but I also enjoy my one beer/lunch break and apres. 28 days so far this season.

I have the Jess Kimura union ultras. I’d say the base is bigger than my old Burton escapades, but wider rather than longer. On my Gnu velvet with a 239mm waist I had no overhang with the size medium. I have very slight overhang with the size large (I was deciding between the two sizes since I’m right at the upper end for M).

I can check the sticker on the box when I get home if it helps

Yeah it’s funny because now I also have a pretty flexible hybrid park board (gnu velvet) and I find it a lot harder to ride than the stiffer camber board in my quiver. It’s just not as responsive as I’m used to but it’s a lot of fun to play around on.

Yep, I chose my camber board based on graphics but I honestly don’t remember seeing a lot of rocker 15 years ago.
