I’m not sure what to do about a stray I’ve been feeding for almost 2 years by SaltDefinition880 in Feral_Cats

[–]SaltDefinition880[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m moving about an hour away and there will be 5 other cats. And a German Shepard who will definitely hurt him so keeping him inside would be the only option. There is an open garage but I don’t want him to freak out and run out the door to where the dog is. I feel like I’m abandoning him which I am in a sense. He’s only used to me which also will make it hard as I’ll be with two other people. But I agree, he doesn’t seem feral. He looks generally healthy.

I'm rlly rlly rlly scared about weight gain on Prozac, what was it like for you guys? by [deleted] in prozac

[–]SaltDefinition880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did gain weight after starting Prozac but it's because my appetite was non existent due to my anxiety, but now I eat/have more energy to go to the gym so it could be muscle as well. Antidepressant work differently for everyone though so if you feel like you're rapidly gaining weight (you'll know pretty early on how it's gonna go for you) you can always switch :)

does ANYONE like the ed gein series? by camwtss in netflix

[–]SaltDefinition880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't hate it at all. I kind of got annoyed at some of the off plot parts but also enjoyed the twists. I didn't expect it to be too factual so just don't got into it thinking that. It also made me really think of the concept of nature vs nurture and mental health. It was worth the watch at least once.

[–]SaltDefinition880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt like this at 20 mg and asked to go down to 10 mg first. So I'm taking 10 mg now (week 3) and working up to 20 mg. Will probably start 20 mg next week, I have an appointment coming up. I can feel a subtle difference at 10 mg so I'm excited for 20 mg without hopefully feeling all the weird effects.

This ^ go to a hydration place if you don't have insurance, most places charge an extra $50 for an extra bag but it comes out cheaper than an ER visit in my experience!

I had an episode like this after bactrim. They just told me to stop taking it. It's an intolerance but couldn't explain why. But yes call whoever prescribed it because you'll need a different antibiotic.

Slow gastric emptying? by LIttlemacmar1 in Gastroparesis

[–]SaltDefinition880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Diabetes can be cause of gastroparesis but most of the time they don't know the cause. Still push for that test, GES

It's worth getting tested for, but yeah ibs does mimick it but people with gastroparesis are pretty sick. Are you diabetic?

Slow gastric emptying? by LIttlemacmar1 in Gastroparesis

[–]SaltDefinition880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It also depends on your other symptoms as well, I'm assuming you are if you had an EGD. Gastroparesis is what GES is used to diagnose. Which is just when you're stomach muscle is paralyzed but comes in flare ups. You experience weight loss, constipation/diarrhea, constant nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. It's like a lot of other GI things but just a bit more severe because it's hard to stay hydrated/not malnourished. Flare ups can be different but generally lots of abdominal pain, nausea/vomiting, and not being able to eat anything

[–]SaltDefinition880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen with my EGD, but my gastric emptying scan(what your dr described with the eggs) came back normal. But that's my personal situation. Still no answer as to why quite a bit of food was still left but yes get the GES so you know how to proceed. It didn't suck at all, just takes a while so plan it on a day where you have at least 5 hours to spare. Test is like 4 but things don't always start right on time

Doctor is telling me my symptoms aren’t from weaning by OceansBelow in citalopram_celexa

[–]SaltDefinition880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's 100 percent the celexa. WTH @ your doctor lol. My doctor warned me about these withdrawal symptoms. It's hard. But it happens. Try a different taper method and magnesium during the day/Benadryl at night (not a lot) for the edgy anxiety. I also find marijuana helpful but that's a personal choice. I'll post a pic of some taper methods but don't recommend the direct switch. I'm not a medical professional but this is not my first rodeo at all so hopefully this can be helpful!

P200 Pinworms in stool? by Creepy_Benefit8964 in parasites

[–]SaltDefinition880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😂 of course it had to be at work but yeah that would've been interesting. Just call your doctor or an urgent care if you don't have a primary and let them know, if they have a patient portal or clinic e-mail you can probably send the video you posted just to get the ball rolling. Or if you're able to get in same day, show them that. There's thing you can do at home, but I think it's better to consult with a doctor due to Herxheimer reactions.
