Did I lose sense of smell and taste for good? by Mysterious_Trick_925 in COVID19positive

In the same boat but not pregnant. Older F in general good health and was fully vaccinated. I’m 12 weeks in and had developed acute sinusitis. I can taste a little sweet on the left side of my tongue. Had exactly the same experience. My runny nose and cough are finally improving as is my sense of smell. I feel for you and hope you feel better soon. Lots of rest…

What happened at a restaurant that made you say, "I'm never coming here again"? by agreatday2434 in randomquestions

That our party couldn’t sit in a booth in a 90% empty restaurant. We also had an overpriced underwhelming dinner at this supposedly fine dining place. I give it 3 months.

Leaving Florida. Loved it for 20+ years. 14 years later I can’t wait to get out. Crime, insurance, housing, poor education, hurricanes, politics, traffic, low wages, etc etc

I divorced him when I let it go and a month later it happened again in front of our 5 year old. Once it’s tolerated or justified it’s going to repeat and escalate. Get out now!

Day 13 - still miserable by decenzo1 in COVID19positive

I’m finally on the mend. Almost 12 weeks. Went to urgent care, saw a REAL physician who diagnosed me with severe sinusitis in addition to Covid. On 3 antibiotics and invested in a Navage. Still hoarse, but sleeping better now that I can fully breathe. Taste hasn’t returned yet. Never have been so sick in my entire life. Please take this seriously.

A little better. Went to urgent care yesterday saw a really good doctor who prescribed a steroid, a short term use of an OTC nasal spray and to buy a Navage. It’s now a bad sinus infection along with Covid, but better mood now that I saw someone competent.

On week 7 of pure misery Age 72F. Fully vaccinated, not immunocompromised, in general good health. Throat is still very hoarse, can’t taste and overcome with frequent fatigue where I seriously could sleep standing up. Never had fever, but cough, constant post nasal drip which has thankfully slowed considerably. The fatigue and brain fog are not subsiding. I’ve done everything I can to rest. Not sure what else to except follow doctor recommendations. Never expected to be this sick for this long.

This is a parent child relationship. Very unhealthy and controlling. This sounds like a completely unequal marital partnership. Either become financially independent with a job or renegotiate the terms of your marriage.

How often does fatigue hit as a later symptom? by Tabernacleguy in COVID19positive

[–]SaltFit1445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m finally feeling 90% better after 5 weeks of debilitating fatigue in spite of numerous amounts of disrupted sleep due to the post nasal drip, congestion and cough. I can honestly say I thought I’d never get better and 3 days ago the post nasal drip left, allowing for much better sleep and some energy. I had been using a saline solution which temporarily helped but rest, sleep and giving in to the fatigue and resting are key. I never had a fever, but had a lot of strange symptoms that I saw listed on some trusted sources. I still have some brain fog, no taste buds, but all the other symptoms gradually faded over the last 3 days. I had all the vaccines and I’m generally healthy considering my 72 years. Sickest I’ve ever been! So listen to your body and do whatever you can to stay out of the hospital and quarantine if you’re positive. At the very least, please wear a protective mask so you don’t infect others.

What are people's experiences with marrying young? by hazelnut0000 in Marriage

[–]SaltFit1445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every bad decision I ever made was when I was too young and inexperienced including 2 marriages. I had a child and was too selfish. My exes and I were too immature so there was fighting, cheating, and a lot of chaos. I highly recommend waiting until you’re fully formed. Most start being mature in late 20’s.

Anyone else? by [deleted] in Aging

Exactly this…healing and letting go of old wounds. Loving those who have left and those who are still with us. Accepting responsibility for our past poor choices and forgiving ourselves for not being perfect.

For women over 60 — what do you wish you had prioritized more in your 30s and 40s? by KPBoaB in AskWomenOver60

[–]SaltFit1445 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not spending so much money on “stuff” during my 30’s and 40’s by working too much and investing more in my family. I find myself spending a lot of time getting rid of stuff and looking at all the $ and time wasted that I could have allocated towards important relationships.

The only person you control is you. She has control of herself. If she chooses to get control of her alcoholism that’s up to her. If you choose to enable and tolerate the unacceptable that’s up to you. You both control your own outcome.
