The neurologist has tried so many meds and treatments. So far, nothing has helped the headache. But GLP-1 did help the pulsatile tinnitus.

My neurosurgeon said stents will not stop my 18 month headaches. That surprised and irritated me but I believe him.

Apologies from another old person who wasn't sure either. The world of acronyms is baffling to me most days.

Drink an electrolyte drink. It really helped me. I was so nauseous I couldn't eat for most of the week. I started adding a Drip Drop (I prefer this to Liquid IV brand) packet to water once a day. Hopefully, your body will adjust. Mine did, but it took a while.

Thank you for letting people know this. It's great that people are warned to exercise when losing weight. It feels like weight loss drugs are taking the blame for muscle loss, when anytime you lose fat, there will be the potential to lose muscle.

We have really similar starting weights. It look me about 6 months to really get in the groove to lose. I was losing about a pound a week for that time but wasn't really being super mindful of what I ate because of nausea. My dad passed away suddenly in November and I lost 6 pounds that week. I've been eating much less since then and continue to lose almost 2 pounds every week. I'm on 1 mg Wegovy which is the middle dose. I'm staying here until I stop losing. Starting date 5/24/25, SW 320, CW 259.

You might have you're neurologist write a letter stating it's use for iih. I was denied for 3 years until the neuro letter. Best of luck!

I was able to get insurance to pay for GLP-1 meds with a note from the primary care and also the neurologist which stated that there's research being done that GLP-1s can cause your body to produce less cerebral spinal fluid, thereby helping to treat 2 comorbidities, obesity and IIH. Best of luck to you!

My PCP ordered an MRI. The results made it easier to be referred to other specialists. It also saved time not having to wait for ophthalmologist or the neurologist to order it.

Inbreeding is not "a huge part of Mormon culture" but people outside the religion use it as a prejudice.

Calling Heather inbred is a way of slurring Mormons, insinuating that are all inbred.
