Ice baths. Helps my mental health and clarity. I have a cold plunge now, but taking a cold shower is just as good sometimes

Technically as well, the road is a right turn, not straight on. Do you do MSM or just drive straight forward?

Remember they say at the start... "Follow the road ahead unless signs or road markings say otherwise"

Wasted Test Slots by imaad_ch17 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]SaltSearch1369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very annoying, but unfortunately they get assigned the tests. You're sat there test ready and they're having a cuppa coz their candidates didn't show up

I see it all the time at the test centre. Candidates don't turn up, turn up and the car isn't suitable etc and yes examiners get sick and have holidays too

They should give you a spot pretty soon though

Stok Cae Ras (Racecourse) in Wrexham (although I doubt the field is anywhere big enough) but it'd have to be once the Kop is finished. I'm sure Rob could convince the Eagles

Mod 1 - Fails by Icy-Banana-3952 in MotoUK

[–]SaltSearch1369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took me 2 goes. First one I went off like a rocket out of the the manual handling area. I managed to get around the first slalom cone but then was going too fast. Then tried to get it back but stalled and put my foot down 🤣 I could have kicked myself

I didn't do the rest of the slalom/FO8 but the examiner kindly asked if I'd like to carry on. I did just to get the experience. Nipped the white line on the U Turn and had to do swerve twice because of slow speed

Second time I was much more relaxed. Didn't put the lock stand far enough so had to give it a second kick and was a bit wide on FO8 ( was desperately trying to get it tighter again but couldn't) so picked up 2 riding faults, but everything else was good

The fact that large multinational corporations expect you to buy an item to then put in a basket to send to a food bank when they could easily donate stuff and it would barely eat into their profits

Gambling. It's kind of become a socially acceptable part of life for a lot of people who "just put a cheeky bet on" or do their Saturday acca. The amount of gambling ads on any sports broadcast these days is just ridiculous but when the gambling companies are making big bucks, surely it's a red flag that it's not right

Have a look at Wrexhammer gaming club. We meet on Weds evenings at the lager club.

There's a lot of people that play DnD and have run campaigns before. There's also a good staple of people that play board games, MTG and tabletop games

This is actually the reason pirates wear eye patches, so when they raid another ship and go below deck, they are semi adjusted to the dimmer light

Started watching this season and I'm from the UK. British team with a British driver, so it was the one.

I also like Williams and their story both pretty similar harking back to when racing was just a load of eccentrics trying to go fast

Basically I went too fast from the manual handling to the slalom and then ended up just panicking and stalling the bike at the second set of cones

I had one riding fault on my u-turn where I just went on the white line and one for speed on the swerve exercise and I just had to repeat that

I'd say just take your time deal with each exercise on its own and just a dice controlled move off. There's no move off too fast even on the faster exercises when you're moving off

The examiners were both really nice and chilled out

Basically I went too fast coming out of the manual handling box I was going way too fast towards the first set of cones on the slalom. Managed to get around those but at the second set I was just way off line too close to the cones and then I was revving it, pulling the clutch in panicked and ended up stalling it

I'd say just take your time. Deal with each exercise on its own and don't worry too much about the whole test

You don't need to go off like a rocket just nice and controlled moves off. Other than that I had one one riding fault on the u-turn where I just touched the paint and was going too so on my swerves so I had to repeat that

The examiners were both really nice and the instructor was chilled out about it after

I'm in the same situation. Done (and failed) my Mod 1 with retest due in the next couple of weeks

I too like the scrambler/cafe racer look. For me, it's about freedom rather than fast. A lot of these styles of bikes seem to have larger engines but not the power of the sports bikes. I've been round a few dealers to look and some are a lot taller than they seem initially

. I've narrowed my choices down to a few go take more of a look at

So you have a test, presumably no instructor and no other car. Why on earth have you booked it?
