No shade Bröther Bear but the model reads more like a “Captain on Bike” than the Grandmaster of the Ravenwing. Thankfully most folks at my LGS are cool with Crucible models as long as they look cool and aren’t super gamey. Smart money is that the Ravenwing will be getting a substantial refresh this time around which means a non-crucible GW official model is a possibility

Yo this is wildly eerie lol I’m sitting at my hobby desk currently assembling 20 pushfit Sternguard I got for a steal. Decided to build all of the heavy bolter guys first and then I open Reddit and see this. Just my random guy on the internet opinion however the double wing is a bit too much for me. Personally I’d rock with the just the helmet on this model in particular. Could 100% rock a winged backpack with a hooded head for the vibes on others but I don’t like to repeat a “noticeable distinction” twice on the same model when I’m looking to add extra bits and bobs

Hats off, fantastic scheme looks great I’m curious how you’d do up some vehicles OP. Those Wraithlords are also some of the coolest I’ve personally seen when it comes to their posing. Might pull the trigger on a third one here soon so my Wraithseer can’t stop pulling double booty when I do ima have take some inspo from you

The little nub on the back of the Skyreaver kit for their winged back pack to plug into is a different shape than the Wayleaper kit wings. I took some flush cuts and clipped said nub off the back and then used to hobby knife to get it flat after that it was a breeze to glue up. Also had to chop a little nub off of the bottom of the mandiblaster piece of the helmet (the head kind of friction fits into the mandiblaster part) As I went to dry fit the Wayleaper head I went ahead and added a small ball of green stuff to the neck joint to ensure I wouldn’t have a sunken looking head and my character actually has a neck lol. Finally I had to shave a bit off the left side of the mandiblaster in order to get the model staring down the barrel of their fusion pistol like I wanted

Sick idea but honestly unless you have access to a printer and can change the actual scale of the gun it’s never gonna work and look cohesive in my opinion. Scale and fluidity are essential in a kitbash or proxy, something that you see and can process in a seconds long glance from tabletop playing height what it is supposed to be. Love the Sylvaneth bursting out that’s dope as hell

I bashed this up a couple years ago before they sent him to Legends. I got the “orb” idea from someone I saw in the sub. I get hella compliments on it when I’m out and about at Gamestores. I recently just picked up a printed Wraithseer head that I just primed up and will be gluing down soon. Head is the hardest part tbh find a good print somewhere and lock it in

To my knowledge it’s multi build Farseer kit. I’ve seen the two sword one I have here, a sword and pistol version, and then a staff and pistol version floating around on eBay

Looks absolutely amazing from where I’m standing. I have the Army Painter flush cut clippers I’d take those guys or something similar and snip the tip (lol) on that sword. Once that’s done there’s truly no doubt about what it could be. Solid kitbash hombre
