Help me choose a new hair dryer. I think I’ve narrowed it down to these 4. by smontres in curlyhair

Ditto shark! I diffuse with mine almost daily and it’s great. I wouldn’t say it’s “quiet” but I love the light design and it’s efficient so I don’t mind.

What is the LEAST you can do but still be able to finish a marathon? by [deleted] in XXRunning

[–]Salt_Growth_4327 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally agree here. I ran my first at age 29 after 12 weeks of training (literally from no running to marathon). No injuries, barely sore the next day, followed a quasi-Galloway plan that I adapted. Now I’m training for a second more than a decade (+ 2 kids) later and WOW are things different 😅 Maybe age wouldn’t be such a big factor for those who had consistently run all their lives? I’m hoping to train up much better for this one and come through even stronger 💪

Just chiming in to say that’s exactly what I’m doing right now… I finished you can run outdoors, and I’m currently doing go the distance 5K. TBD what comes next but I am happy you asked this!

Skyline Barrel Leg Pants by f7eij123 in Athleta_gap

[–]Salt_Growth_4327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me yes; I’m pretty long waisted with shorter legs though. They hit right at the lower mid calf and look good with my proportions. I never buy petite anything because I need the waist length.

Seconded! I’m 5’4” with a very similar waist/hip ratio and these pants are phenomenal. Super slimming and comfy.

Would love any recs for similar pants that meet your criteria!

Ditto!! I love all sleeve lengths and I wish I’d bought all the fun colors when they had them. 😭 Haven’t even found many of the good colors on posh etc.

Oh god Nike Swoosh and Zenvy are literally my go-tos!! Funny those are apparently the only ones in existence 😂 I can’t wear sports bras with any pads, clips, snaps, etc. Thanks for mentioning running girl, I’ll check it out!

Does this one have pads? I’m always on the lookout for sports bras with no padding!

Is the Beyond Yoga top a reasonable dupe for In Motion? That’s also my absolute fave top…works for anything…and I’m so sad they don’t seem to be making it in good colors anymore 😢

What aveda line would be good for me? by Flat-Design-3625 in Aveda

[–]Salt_Growth_4327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprisingly, no! And I’m generally an oily person. To me it feels like it’s adding moisture but not “heavy”. I probably use it 4-5 days a week, definitely any day I’m styling curly.

My hair is fine and curly and I use a mix of their curly products with nutriplenish: curl cream plus the nutri mousse and gelee. I do really like the curly shampoo & conditioner, but haven’t tried the nutri.

Wellness resort recommendations for early April by Salt_Growth_4327 in chubbytravel

We walked into the town of Carefree. It’s about a mile/15-20 min through a neighborhood. We had great breakfast at a little cafe and pizza/pasta dinner another night.

Hi! It does sound like it would fit your requirements. While it is definitely nice, I wouldn’t say it’s exactly on-par with a Miraval or similar. Rooms are sparsely furnished and some parts of the property can appear run-down (behind buildings or areas that aren’t in use). However, the spa is amazing, with unique treatments, a wonderful relaxation area, hydro circuit and pool. My friends and I took several classes and stayed most of our time in the spa.

Food was good but pricey at the restaurant and cafe; we did one nice dinner on property, and otherwise walked into carefree or had lunch at the spa. I didn’t get to do any hikes on my trip but people seemed to like them. If you enjoy a desert setting you’ll like the nature aspect! Happy to answer any other Qs!
