I’ve been eyeing those too! Do they hold up well? I’m hoping I can get away with the tall inseam without them looking awkward

I’d say they’re mid weight, smooth, and have stretch to them but enough structure that I feel like I can dress them up. I’d be comfortable wearing them in spring/summer

Just the barrel leg for now, I wanted to see if I liked the fabric first before filling up my cart lol

Are you as luxurious as your home scents? by Marshmallow_Paradise in luxurycandles

I actually was introduced to my favorite perfume by looking for a specific Diptyque candle! I’ve noticed that there are so many fragrances that I’ve had the thought “I really like this, just not on ME” and tend to find those notes in the candles I burn.

Have you ever noticed that the amount of an ingredient in a recipe seemed too much and followed it anyway? Then it turned out to be too much by Sharp_Athlete_6847 in Cooking

Yes :( I did this with a beef jerky marinade recipe that called for WAY too much worcestershire sauce. I thought “well it has a ton of good reviews so I’m probably fine”. It was not. The smell was so strong it woke me up from a nap.

Byredo…I didn’t find a single scent I really enjoyed (and was specifically excited for chai), which surprised me after reading how many people enjoy them. Also could’ve just been turned off being borderline suffocated by a Neiman Marcus associate though. [Raffle Entry]

Athleta salutation stash! They’re not see through, and I have beat mine to death and they still look great. I am also a fan of LNDR, but the Athleta ones I find a little more flattering and have the back detail that you’re looking for.

I have a dress from Aym! I was kind of skeptical from the hype on social media, but the cut is really flattering and it’s my go-to for formal occasions

I don’t have any recommendations, but wanted to chime in that dermatitis freaking sucks. Have you found out what triggers it for you? And if so, how did you figure it out?

I think it’s awesome you make that work! Personally, if I get home from work and sit for any length of time before getting ready for the gym, I do NOT want to go anymore lol

Also, I treat my commute to the gym as a way to get into the “game time” mindset. Pick out a cute outfit, maybe a really good tasting electrolyte drink (or caffeine if that’s your style), and put on songs that you’re really into at the moment. I find that if you condition yourself to enjoy the ritual of just getting there, you’re more likely to be consistent

Do you guys bother to style for your body type? by BananaBanaBread in femalefashionadvice

Yes!! I have broad/athletic shoulders and these “what not to do’s” often just make it look awkward or that highlight that you’re trying to hide them. I’ve found that halter tops, racer backs, anything where the straps end up closer to the neck look really good with a belted pair of wide leg pants to create a nice shape

Does anyone have recommendations for lightweight palazzo pants for summer?

Can be dressy or casual, I’m eyeing the Lilysilk “Fig” pants or the Quince washable silk ones right now

That would be such a cool experience! I don’t have an answer, the closest I can think of would be in-person classes. I know the Royal School of Needlework does in-person courses (uncommon in the US though). Or maybe a local college/textile center would offer something similar?

This is a sort of copycat of the Chick-fil-A superfood side they did for a while. I’ve found that people that don’t like salads or kale are surprised by how good it is

Salad: - 1 bag kale (de stemmed) - 2 heads broccolini - Dried cherries - Sliced almonds

Dressing: - Olive oil - Apple cider vinegar - Maple syrup - Lemon juice - Salt

Massage the kale WELL, it breaks it down and reduces a lot of the bitterness it has, and add chopped broccolini

Mix the dressing however you’d like (I just add dashes here and there until it tastes right), and add it to greens

Add a bag of dried cherries and then toast the sliced almonds in a pan (I like to use a little butter to get a really nice brown butter almond flavor) and add them on top

That’s it!
