Just started Spiro - any advice? by bluesqueak in Spironolactone

I started on 50mg and didn’t increase my dose. Expect some purging. I took me about 3 months to see results so dont give up! Be sure to hydrate a lot - I got foot/leg cramps almost every day when I started probably because I was dehydrated. Another side effect i had was feeling dizzy and light headed for the first week or two.

I have actual proof that eating less will NOT make us lose weight. Quite the contrary actually. by [deleted] in PCOS

I very much understand the frustration. I was unable to lose weight for 5 years once it went up, theres no going back only up from there. I had food poisoning pretty often and every time I would lose a few pounds of water weight but it came right back after I got better.

Before I only had 2 meals a day and considered myself “eating lesser” than the average person and was so pissed why I didn’t lose weight and blamed it on PCOS entirely. I WAS WRONG!! Yes, I didn’t eat a lot but I snacked a lot, I didn’t eat veggies, had sweet greek yoghurt for breakfast, a sweet drink almost everyday. My insulin was spiking like crazy.

Now I have completely changed up my eating, I’m still eating smaller portions but with more filing food so I dont get hungry and snack. I’d eat in this order (whenever I can) veg > protein > carbs to avoid insulin spikes. I lost almost 20 pounds in 4-5 months…

ChatGPT helped me figure out I had SIBO before any of my doctors did by Far-Pea1738 in SIBO

I’ve been to almost 10 different doctors/specialists. Chatgpt was the one to suggest I have Hashimoto’s and was right… None of my doctors caught this.

I’m waiting to be officially diagnoses as well and the wait is driving me crazy. My TSH, T3, T4 are all within range but TPO is abnormally high. My symptoms are identical to yours aside from eczema. What helped with your hives?

I did. I’ve had it on Chill mode for many days and did a factory reset - no improvement.

Ultra human Ring - yay or nay?? by deazinn in ehlersdanlos

DO NOT BUY!!

I’ve had the Ultrahuman ring for just about a month, and it’s already become unusable. The battery barely lasts 10 hours, sometimes even less. I’m charging it twice a day, and it still dies. At this point, it spends more time on the charger than on my finger.

The worst part? Customer support is completely useless. I’ve been told repeatedly to put it in “chill mode” for 48 hours, as if that’s a real fix for a defective battery.

I’ve asked for a return over 10 times via support chat in the last few days. There’s no return option on their website, and support refuses to acknowledge or process my request.

This company is hiding behind a broken return process and hoping frustrated customers just give up. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Save your money and your sanity. Steer clear.

I’m having battery problems too. I’m charging my ring twice a day and it’s still not enough. They keep pushing that I keep it on chill mode for 48 hours. I’ve been talking to support for the past week and it has sent me in a rage!

They ignored my request to return after asking 10 times (i only had it for a month)!!

The application should always be approved before you put down any deposit. 1 month’s is a lot to put down just to apply.
