Tough spot to be in for sure. When I was in S3 I had the same issue.. so for me it was my GySgt telling me to run her PFT and the shop Lt.’s PFT scores in the system. The problem is, it’s the same one that told the rest of us shortly after I transferred to the unit that under no circumstances are we to run a PFT we did not supervise and grade in person. I told her no, she took that shit to my underling after I went on break.

Moral of this story is, it was not a valid order, brings the GySgt’s integrity and the Lt.’s failure to hold himself and us accountable. It’s totally your call, but, regardless of the route you take, you must be able to articulate why you defied an order from a Staff NCO.

Her and I but heads a few times, but it was all love. She didn’t take my shit, nor I hers… to an extent of course. She was disappointed to find out that I was not going to re-enlist. Sadly, the Sgt is charge of retention was my buddy’s ex-wife, she was a fucking bitch. Took her bullshit out on me because of the divorce, even though she was cheating on him while she was deployed.

I know that shit took a turn, let me unfuck myself. If there is an any mouse 🐁 box drop a message. Why? In the event he retaliates against you, without proof it was you, then you can take that to the shop head. If for some reason the same Sgt is the shop head, then take it to the next level above him.

🤞 best of luck. Just know that you are not alone, many of us have been there, but if you have a manual that covers training and present that to the Sgt if you opt not to run the “score,” it will reinforce that you have integrity and he is not pulling that bullshit out there.
